When David and Aaron returned to Erinsborough to explain their connection to the Melanie and krista drama, it was only supposed to be a flying visit, but Aaron and Nicolette both felt like Erinsborough was the place they needed to be.

Desperate to stay away from the toxic behaviour of his father, David wants to distance himself as far away from Ramsay Street as possible.

Paul wants a reunion with his estranged son and so is delighted when he finds out from Melanie that the Police could have charged David, Aaron and Nicolette with aiding and abetting, but they had decided not to pursue it. In Paul’s eyes this means his son and family are free to move back to Erinsborough now the threat of prosecution and a return to jail have been lifted.

Despite being told to stay away, Paul races up to David’s new home in the country to break the good news, but doesn’t get the warm welcome he was hoping for. David refuses to get into a discussion with his father and tells him to get off of his property.

After Paul leaves Aaron tells David that he agrees with what Paul said, now that the charges have been dropped there is nothing stopping them from returning to Erinsborough. Aaron is desperate to move back to the place he called home and be surrounded by friends and family and questions why David is being so stubborn in his response.

“Paul makes me a worse person. He makes everyone worse. And I don’t that for me, for you, for Nicolette, for Isla. This is the happiest I have been in years. Honestly, I just want it to stay that way.”

Aaron is not so convinced and asks David if he doesn’t want to go back to Erinsborough because it reminds him of his past life and that he isn’t a doctor any more.

Finally Aaron admits how unhappy he is with his new life, changing bedsheets for tourist and scrubbing toilets way out in the country, isolated from his friends and family. It is not the life he wants.

“I just want to go home.”

Aaron tries to convince David to sit down and talk about the options. But David realises that the couple both want very opposite things and David is firm that he is staying and leaves the choice in Aaron’s hands.

“It’s either Erinsborough or me.”

Is this the end for Daaron?
