We now know a great deal of the returning Neighbours cast for the show’s revival on Amazon Freevee later in the year – first there was the big four; Jackie Woodburne, Stefan Dennis, Alan Fletcher and Ryan Moloney, then we heard that Georgie Stone, Rebekah Elmaloglou, Tim Kano and Annie Jones would be returning and then in the last few weeks Lucinda Cowden, Candice Leask, Emerald Chan and Lloyd Will have been announced as all reprising their roles. We also know that April-Rose Pengilly, Melissa Bell and Ian Smith will return in a guest capacity.

However, in an Instagram post by actor Alan Fletcher this morning he has seemingly confirmed the return of Lucinda Armstrong-Hall as his on-screen daughter Holly Hoyland. In the post, which contained two photos of Alan with Stefan Dennis, Rebekah Elmaloglou and Lucinda he said: “Just another day at work having fun with the best pals evah [sic]. @stefandennis7 @relmaloglou @lucindaarmstronghall #neighbours #amazonfreevee #weareback”.

Holly was born back in 2007 after a one night stand between her parents Karl and Izzy Hoyland, some time after the pair had dated and since begun new relationships. Izzy went into labour during Karl’s wedding to his ex-wife Susan onboard a Thames river cruise in London.

Karl would often visit Holly offscreen in London, but in 2013 she arrived in Erinsborough and made fleeting appearances until 2018. During these years Holly has fallen victim to some extreme SORASing (soap opera rapid ageing syndrome) – she turned 8 in 2013, despite only being born 6 years earlier, and by 2022, Izzy mentioned that she was 19 although should’ve only been 16.

Holly has been played in the majority of her appearances by actress Lucinda Armstrong-Hall, who has also recently starred in the Sony Pictures Classics film Shayda.

But what will bring Holly back to Ramsay Street? And will her mum Izzy be in tow? We’re looking forward to seeing her back in Neighbours later in the year!
