Monday’s episode of Neighbours saw the launch of the-much anticipated ‘Death in the Outback’ week where we will see the demise of at least one character.

Newcomer Heath Royce has been wining and dining Holly Hoyland, despite being romantically involved with his boss, Tess Carmichael.

Holly is fully aware of Heath’s relationship with Tess, but is happy to have a little bit of fun with him, especially as he showers her with expensive gifts. When Heath invites Holly to join him on a business trip, she jumps at the chance to spend some time with Heath away from Tess and the prying eyes of her suspicious friends.

Sadie confronts Holly when she sees her kissing Heath at the hotel, but Holly just gets defensive claiming that Sadie doesn’t understand what is going on. Worried about what is happening, Sadie tells Byron, Haz and Mackenzie that Heath and Holly are together and that Heath is also seeing Tess.

Mackenzie, knowing that Heath is less than honest, runs off to find her friend and stop her from getting into trouble. Mack begs Holly to not make the same mistakes she made with Eden, but Holly tells Mack to mind her own business.

When she later sees Holly and Heath leaving Lassiters for their secret trip away, Mack confronts Heath, telling him that she knows about him sneaking around with Holly behind Tess’ back. She informs him that she will be watching every move he makes and threatens him not to hurt Holly.

“And what are you gonna do about it?” Heath responds.

“I’m not afraid of you.” claims Mackenzie, in defiance.

“You see, now you should be.” Heath stares deep into Mack’s eyes. “Now, back off or you are gonna find out what it’s like to get hurt.”

Heath gets in the car and leaves with Holly.

Meanwhile, Toadie is spending time with Melanie following his aggressive confrontation with Terese at the therapy session, with Toad reflecting on what happened and what this means for his relationship with his wife.

When Toadie overhears Mack telling Haz about her face-off with Heath, he shares his own suspicions on Heath’s intentions and takes Mel with him to Heath’s house to find out what is going on.

When they arrive at the house, there is no answer, but the front door is open.

Toadie and Mel let themselves in and wander around, eventually finding Heath’s office, complete with fake passports for both Heath and Tess and a bank statement showing an account with over $9,000,000 in it.

Just as they discover the evidence of wrongdoing, a shadowy figure appears at the door.

Later, Tess arrives and sees signs of a struggle in the office and asks her hefty henchman what happened.

“There was a problem, but I took care of it.”

Terese is concerned that Toadie hasn’t come home, she hasn’t seen him or even heard from him since their altercation at the therapy session. She calls Susan and Karl for support, as they arrive at the house, Mack and Haz also appear to update Toadie on the Heath situation.

When Terese says that Toadie is missing, they tell her that they last saw him with Melanie at Harolds, which immediately casts suspicions in the minds of Terese, Susan and Karl.

When Susan asks what the Heath situation is, Mack explains that Holly has been seeing Heath and shares her concerns about him and his criminal past. When Susan mentions that Holly has gone away with a friend from the hotel, they put the pieces together and realise that she is with Heath – and possibly in danger.

The next morning, nobody has heard from Toadie. Melanie never went back to the Kennedy house. Neither he nor Melanie are answering their phones.

Terese is concerned that her husband has run away with his ex-wife, unaware that they have inadvertently gotten involved with a major crime cover-up and may be in extreme danger.

Neighbours: Death in the Outback continues on Tuesday with new episodes streaming on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video from 7am, Monday-Thursday.
