BAD NEWS ARRIVES AS NELL CELEBRATES

Toadie finally confesses to Nell why he is back in Erinsborough. Big Kev has a terminal cancer diagnosis. He explains that he feels it will be better for her to be back on Ramsay Street and concentrate on her schooling rather than be around the imminent challenges at home.

Toadie makes it very clear though that Nell staying with Terese is not an option, the Kennedys have offered a home to Nell and that is where she will live if she chooses to move back.

Terese confronts Toadie but he is adamant that he wants her to concentrate on herself. Nell is devastated and begs to move back in with her Stepmother, pointing out that she never wanted to go to Colac and she only did it to make Toadie happy, so now is his turn to compromise.

Guilted by Nell, Toadie goes back to Terese and agrees that Nell can move in with her. Terese, Nell and JJ are all delighted that they are all going to be reunited.

Back as a Ramsay Street Resident, Nell’s first thing to do is celebrate her 16th birthday and she hosts a Sweet Sixteen party at Terese’s house. Nell is blissfully happy. She is back on the street where she grew up, reunited with her boyfriend and is delighted to see that even Toadie and Terese appear to getting along well.

Nell publicly announces that now she is back in Erinsborough, she wants to be more actively involved with her mother’s Foundation. Toadie couldn’t be prouder of her but when he calls the Foundation manager to get Nell involved, he is shocked to learn that the council are not renewing the Foundation’s lease and without a base, the Foundation will have to close.

HOLLY FINDS A NEW ENEMY AND A POTENTIAL NEW ALLY

Cara, coming to terms with the news of her emergency hysterectomy, is recovering in hospital. She is characteristically stoic but Dex is not letting things slide so easily. He is burning with rage that Holly is responsible for this life-changing moment in his mother’s life. When he sees Holly being seemingly carefree at the Coffee Shop, Dex goes into a rage and tears strips off of Holly… all watched by newcomer Yaz…

Now on edge, Holly is escorted to work by Karl, who himself is feeling guilty at leaving his daughter whilst he heads off to Italy to go on tour with Mike.

Holly puts on a brave face, but after Karl drops Holly off, she asks Paul if she can complete tasks that don’t involve facing the public.

Yaz witnesses a stand off between Holly and Blaze, the host of Crimesborough, and sees an opportunity. She approaches Holly and congratulates her for standing her ground against Blaze.

Later in the day, Holly delivers room service to Yaz who jumps on the opportunity to connect further with the person responsible for her brother’s death. Overwhelmed, Holly take advantage of a seemingly friendly ear and quickly becomes emotional…

Yaz offers Holly a job as her assistant. Holly is flattered but doesn’t want to let Krista or Paul down when they have been so good to her.

When Krista tells Holly that she is going to have to move onto the night shift because a number of the staff are refusing to work with her, it all gets too much and Holly quits on the spot, running to Yaz to accept the new position, completely unaware she is now in with the enemy.

NICOLETTE FINDS A NEW OBJECT OF DESIRE

When Nicolette sees Yaz around Lassiters, there is an instant attraction, but refuses to speak with her, admitting that she is intimidated by this attractive and glamourous woman.

Eventually, Nicolette plucks up the courage but immediately gets the cold shoulder. What Nic doesn’t realise though is that Yaz is struggling to focus on anything… she just received a bag of Heath’s belongings and she is left battling her grief.

Yaz eventually discovers that the woman who hit on her actually lives on the same street as Holly, so quickly turns her attention to Nicolette. Feeling she can potentially find out more about Holly, Yaz invites an oblivious Nic on a date. She is loving every minute with this mysterious newcomer, but after a few glasses of wine, Nic lets slip some gossip about Holly that leaves Yaz both shocked and satisfied. Her secret plan continues to unfold.

SMALL WINS FOR TERESE

Devastated that Toadie won’t let Nell live with her, Terese is bruised. Paul steps in and has her side, he tells her to fight for what she wants and she has a stand off with Toadie yet again. Between this confrontation and the emotional blackmail from Nell, Toadie’s mind is changed and Nell gets the all-clear to move back into No.22, leaving Terese happy.

At Nell’s party, Terese and Toadie hold it together, the past drama is gone and they seem to be over the worst of the trauma.

Gino and Moira get involved with the potential ideas for Eirini Rising’s involvement in Yaz’s light festival. At a resident’s meeting held at The Waterhole, Gino sees Terese and checks in with her.

When the residents’ meeting gets out of hand, Terese removes herself from The Waterhole so she doesn’t get involved, she isn’t part of Eirini Rising anymore.

Toadie notices how upset terese is and speak with her… she has big ideas about the light show. Thinking about Big Kev’s diagnosis and Angie imminently losing her husband, ‘Lost Loves’ would be a beautiful theme.

Knowing that the residents wouldn’t be interested in Terese’s ideas, Toadie pitches the idea as his own and the residents love it. When Terese finds out she is grateful for Toadie stepping up for her. But will the residents of Eirini Rising find out that the idea has come from Terese?

MAX CROSSES A LINE

When Sadie points out that Trevor loves Max, Byron gets annoyed. Nicolette, always the one with her eye on the ball, realises that it isn’t the connection between Max and Trevor that Byron has a problem with, it is the obvious connection between Max and Sadie.

Nicolette suggests that Byron is overthinking things and that he needs to just give Max a chance. Willing to trust his sister’s instinct, he offers a hand of friendship. Despite this new olive branch, Max continues his playful behaviour with Sadie.

Byron confronts Sadie with his suspicions about Max’s behaviour, but she defends him. She tells him he has it wrong, it is just a bit of friendly banter.

Later, Max corrects Sadie and confirms that Byron has it on the money…. he is into Sadie in a big way and would love to explore their chemistry further….

Sadie shuts Max down, telling him she is only interested in Byron and warns him that he has crossed a line. Max prepares himself to be blasted by Byron, but quickly realises that Byron is oblivious, Sadie hasn’t told him. Does Sadie secretly have feelings for Max?

When Max questions Sadie, she stops him in his tracks. She doesn’t have feelings for him, she just chose not to tell Byron for the sake of harmony within the household. Suspecting Sadie is overcompensating in her defense, Max decides not to give up on her just yet….

LEO PUTS HIS RELATIONSHIP AT RISK

WIth Sebastian far away from Erinsborough, Leo and Krista enjoy being in a love bubble. Things are going so well between them that Leo starts thinking about proposing to Krista.

When Trevor discovers a bag down by the lake, it is quickly identified as belong to Seb, so the peace is quickly broken when Krista starts worrying about her friend again… is he really in Sydney or has something happened to her friend?

Leo realises that he may have to reveal his part in Seb’s departure… but will it cost him his relationship with Krista?

Krista hands the bag over to the police as she is concerned for the safety of Seb and she starts searching for clues to his whereabouts.

Leo finally admits that he told Seb to leave town and Krista is less than happy… especially when she also discovers that loan sharks are trying to track Seb down too.

The Police track Seb down and he tells them that he doesn’t want anything to do with Krista anymore.

Desperate to build bridges with Krista, Leo gets Byron to share the description of the drug dealer he saw Seb talking to… but Krista isn’t bothered, she doesn’t need Leo’s help. She is going to find Seb herself and find out what is really wrong.

Krista manages to find out the drug dealer’s name, but when she is tracked down, she stays tight-lipped on Sebastian’s whereabouts.

Seb eventually reaches out to Krista and assures her he is alive and well… but if that is to remain the case, he needs $35,000 ASAP. Krista doesn’t think twice, she is prepared to give the money to her friend, but Leo urges caution.

He knows Krista is angry at him for sending Seb away in the first place, but he strongly believes before she pays that kind of money out, she needs more information on what is going on. Krista initially follows Leo’s advice, but when Sadie reminds Krista that it is HER friend and she is the one who can save him, Krista decides to follow her instinct and send Sebastian the money without consulting Leo.

What are Yaz’s plans for Holly? Is she about to get kidnapped for the 25th time this year? Will Nicolette discover she is being used? Will Max get his way and break up Sadie and Byron? Will Krista regret helping Sebastian?
