As we hurtle towards the end of 2024, the unmissable drama just keeps piling up for the residents of Ramsay Street.

We now know Yaz’s true identity and her real reason for being in Erinsborough… is Holly about to face her biggest challenge yet? Elsewhere on the street, is there a potential love triangle bubbling? Sadie has made it clear to Max that she is not interested… but is she protesting too much? For the Rebecchis, devastating news about the future of Sonya’s legacy threatens to ruin Nell’s celebrations, but will Toadie step up and ensure that Nell can continue to work in her mother’s name?

So, that is where we are, let’s take a look at what is happening next week on Neighbours. As always, we have left some of the juiciest bits of the story out so make sure you tune in to see everything that happens.

NICOLETTE AND YAZ MAKE A CONNECTION

Nicolette is hyped after what she thinks was a successful date with Yaz, but after a conversation with Aaron she realises that she may have come on a bit too strong, talking too much about her exes. She feels like Yaz is rejecting her and making excuses to avoid interacting with her at the complex. Nic takes Aaron’s advice and goes to see Yaz in her hotel room, complete with homemade sweet treats as a peace offering and asks for a second chance. Yaz doesn’t answer, but can’t help but be drawn to this version of Nicolette.

Following an eventual successful second date, Yaz admits that she is into pursuing something with Nic.

TOADIE’S DILEMMA PUTS PAUL AND TERESE IN THE SPOTLIGHT

Stunned by the revelation at Nell’s party that the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation is being kicked out of the community centre, Toadie, Terese, Nell, Jane and Susan scramble to try and find a solution.

Throughout this, Terese’s sympathy and care for Toadie increases, which visibly rubs Paul up the wrong way. Whilst working on trying to find a new location for the Foundation, Jane and Susan can’t help but try and question Terese about her rekindled relationship with Paul, but Terese is hesitant to talk about the subject.

When Paul steps up to save the day, everyone is curious where this new generosity has come from.

CARA STRUGGLES WITH THE NEW REALITY

Following the accident which resulted in a hysterectomy, Cara is having a hard time coming to terms with the realisation that this puts an end to their plans for a further child. Her internalised anger starts breaking through, over-reacting to a situation with Nell and JJ and also being overly direct with Remi.

Realising that this pent-up anguish is putting her relationship with Remi and her kids at stake, Cara eventually breaks down… but is given a moment of hope when she comes up with the idea that Remi can just carry their new child instead. Remi is less than delighted by the idea and tells Cara that she was fine having another kid if Cara was going to carry the baby, but has no desire to be pregnant again herself.

Cara is devastated by Remi’s reluctance to get pregnant again, but a touching conversation with Dex reminds Cara how much she has to be grateful for. Cara apologises for her reaction and the wives return to a place of love and tenderness, despite their shared sorrow.

A DISTRESSING CALL FOR SUSAN RESULTS IN GOOD NEWS FOR TERESE

Susan goes into a panic when she receives a call from Angela, Mike Young’s new partner in Europe. The line is bad and Susan struggles to hear… but she can work out there has been a serious accident on Mike and Karl’s road trip and someone is hospitalised… but she doesn’t know who.

Eventually they discover it is Karl who has had an accident – a serious one. Susan is desperate to fly to Italy to be at her husband’s bedside, but she can’t leave the country at the same time as Karl, it would leave Eirini Rising without a manager.

Paul and Toadie put their heads together and come up with a compelling case to get reinstated as General Manager of Eirini Rising, but Moira is very outspoken, refusing to let Terese anywhere near the place again. Toadie goes to bat for Terese, highlighting all of her hard work and how she has manage to face up to her shortcomings. WIth Toadie’s gift of persuasion, Moira backs down and Terese is reinstated as General Manager, meaning that Susan can fly off to be with Karl.

YAZ DEEPENS HER PLAN TO TAKE DOWN HOLLY

In Heath’s belongings that were returned to Yaz was his mobile phone which had a video recorded at the cattle station which causes Yaz to go to the Police. She sees it as damning evidence that Heath’s death at Holly’s hands was intentional and demands his name is cleared. The Police take a look at the new video but conclude it changes nothing. The case will not be reopened.

Filled with rage, Yaz struggles to keep her cool around Holly and realises she needs to go deeper in order to capture her prey. She makes a call to Goodwood Prison, pretending to be a lawyer, requesting a visit with Heath’s former lover and co-conspirator, Tess Carmichael!

Yaz keeps up the pretence of being a lawyer when she meets with Tess. Claiming to represent Heath’s family, she wants to hear Tess’ side of the story, presuming it will show Heath in a positive light. She digs, looking for dirt on Holly, offering to help Tess if she supports her side of the story.

Realising the loyalty she once had to the Sinclair family, Tess’ lawyer tells Yaz that she doesn’t want any further contact.

Tess instead makes a call to Krista, asking her to visit the prison. She explains about her visit from Heath’s family’s lawyer and warns Krista that they are coming after Holly.

Krista breaks the news to Holly, who immediately spirals. Trying to comprehend this new information, Holly lets slip to Yaz that she is seeing Rhonda, the therapist, to talk through everything that has happened in her life, a nugget of information that Yaz is strangely excited to get.

MAX’S PLAN IS EXPOSED

After making it clear to Max that it is inappropriate for him to be coming onto her, Sadie does everything in her power to avoid him, but it isn’t easy when you share a house! She is stunned when Byron reveals that Max has landed them free tickets to a big dance party. She confronts Max and asks him why he arranged the tickets, he admits that it was a ploy for him to spend more time around Sadie and on a night our with him and Byron, Sadie would see she is with the wrong man.

Max’s admission is overheard by Byron who is shocked at his housemate hitting on his girlfriend.

Byron immediately tells Max to leave the house, something he initially refuses to do, but once he realises that his behaviour has made Sadie uncomfortable he agrees to pack his bags.

THE SEARCH FOR SEBASTIAN LEADS LEO TO DANGER

Leo and Krista’s relationship is still off-kilter following the Seb situation. Krista is stressing that she hasn’t heard from her friend and also that she lied to Leo by sending Seb the $35,000 he asked for.

Leo equally is carrying guilt and engages the services of John Wong to track Seb down, but struggles to reveal the truth to Krista. Aaron makes Leo realise that his behaviour is very much like that of Paul, trying to control the people he is closest to and using love as an excuse.

This leads Leo to have a heart to heart with Krista, apologising for forcing Sebastian away and backing her decision in what she does about her old friend. She promises not to send him any more money, but is still obviously concerned for er old friend. Leo can’t bring himself to admit he has a private investigator out searching.

John Wong eventually tells Leo that he has tracked Sebastian down at an address in Winterton. Leo immediately heads there to bring Seb back to Erinsborough, a plan that Paul is not too keen on, especially knowing that he is keeping this all a secret from Krista.

After Leo leaves, Paul catches sight of Sebastian at Lassiters and confronts him. When Sebastian discovers that Leo has gone to Winterton he warns Paul that Leo is in grave danger if he goes there.

Fearful of what is waiting for him, Paul and Terese decide to team up and go in search of Leo. Paul is frantically worried about his son, but Terese brings a warm calm to the situation. Praise be.

Will Leo be safe? How long can Yaz go without her true identity being exposed? Is Nicolette set for heartbreak? Are Paul and Terese on a road back to a full reunion?
