Neighbours has released the first images of new arrival, Max Ramsay, who drops into Erinsborough next month.

Max’s arrival as a new main cast member was announced on October 1st and his on-screen father, OG Neighbours character, Shane Ramsay, will be returning for a guest spot to help his son settle in.

Max is named after Shane’s father who appeared in Neighbours between 1985-1986. In the first episode of the show he famously tried to shut down Des Clarke’s loud Buck’s Party at No.28, eventually returning a drunken Paul Robinson home to father Jim and grandmother Helen, with Paul wearing a baby’s nappy!

Not much is known about Max and why he has chosen to relocate to Erinsborough, but his arrival definitely makes a splash with one resident. Walking through the Lassiters complex, Max’s big rucksack hits Holly Hoyland into one of the ponds, soaking her.

We don’t know if Max and Holly have previously met, but they are kind-of related. Holly’s mum is, of course, Izzy Hoyland who is in a relationship with Shane Ramsay, Max’s father. This makes Max and Holly almost step-siblings. With Izzy well and truly off the scene, it is possible that Holly doesn’t know her step-brother exists. Will the two be mortal enemies or best friends? In Neighbours history an impactful first meeting like theirs has also led to many a romance..

Images also show Max with Paul and Krista at Lassiters. Shane is a good friend of Paul Robinson, so has he used a connection to help Max get a job and settle down?

All will be revealed when Max arrives on November 12th. One thing is for sure, there will be plenty of unmissable drama ahead.
