THIS ARTICLE FEATURES DETAILS AND IMAGES FROM THE EPISODE OF NEIGHBOURS SCHEDULED TO AIR ON WEDNESDAY 10TH APRIL

In one of the most beautifully written and performed episodes of Neighbours ever, we saw Krista Sinclair tragically lose her unborn baby as a result of being locked in a sauna by Chelsea Murphy.

In an epic performance by Majella Davis, we saw Krista go through many stages of grief, followed by the trauma of having to give birth to a baby she knows has already died. The pain wasn’t just suffered by Krista, with Dr Remi Varga-Murphy in attendance, showing a supportive front to help Krista get through the situation, but then retreating to privately deal with her own emotions of this awful situation.

Whilst Neighbours is best-remembered for it’s lighter storylines and often comedic moments, this episode stood out as a testament to the way the show can pivot and deliver heartbreaking, gut-wrenching drama.

Over the coming weeks we are likely to see a lot of fallout from this event. A new bond was formed between Krista and Paul as he rushed to her side and stayed with her during the birth. With Paul’s relationship with his son, Leo, in tatters, will the genuine compassion shown by Paul bring him and Leo closer together again.

Will Chelsea, who is Paul’s lover, be exposed as the person responsible for this awful event?

In the episode due to air on April 10th, we see Krista attend a memorial for her baby, who she has named Hope, with her friends and neighbours around her, offering love and support. At the same time, Chelsea is frantically trying to cover-up her involvement in the sauna incident.

The event will bring up a lot of feelings for Aaron Brennan, still coming to terms with his own grief in losing husband David, but also still struggling to accept Paul because of his involvement in David’s death.

Catch all of the unmissable drama on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video, with new episodes streaming from 7am, Monday-Thursday.
