Haz is stunned when he finds out that Harold’s has won a council business award… an award he didn’t even know he was in contention for! It turns out that Mackenzie is responsible for his nomination. He loves that Mackenzie made this grand gesture, but he is also very uncomfortable with the attention.
Nicolette and Jane rally around Haz with gifts and words of support, making him realise that he should just enjoy his success.
Haz and Mack take off on a picnic to celebrate. Realising that this is a big moment in their relationship, they exchange their own cute versions of “I love you”. (As long as Haz hasn’t bought along his stamp collection, we are fine with it all).
The joy in their new status doesn’t last long though when they discover that Harold’s has been trashed.
As you would expect in Erinsborough, friends and neighbours rally around to repair the damage so that Haz can open up the coffee shop. Haz is overwhelmed by the Ramsay Street spirit and the support of his community. Everybody needs good neighbours, so it seems.
Everyone wonders who would do such a thing to the coffee shop. Haz is baffled on why he was the target? Mackenzie highlights how much money Haz could make from an insurance claim from the break-in, Haz being Haz, he has exceptional insurance policies in place.
When he receives an anonymous video, Haz goes from baffled to stunned. The video shows HIM trashing the shop.
The household start talking about Haz’s family and specifically Haz’s brother who is said to look “exactly like Haz”. Questions start to be asked. Did Haz actually wreck the coffee shop himself as an insurance job or was the perpetrator not even Haz at all, but an identical twin brother?
New episodes of Neighbours stream on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video from 7am, Monday-Thursday.
