Things reached boiling point today between Jane and Terese over the proposed redevelopment of Erinsborough High into a retirement experience.

Terese was ecstatic when she received clearance from the Department of Education to tour Erinsborough High with her architect after-hours to inspect the scope of works required, should her bid for the school site be successful. Unfortunately, on that same evening, Jane was involved in some after-hours scheming herself.

In a desperate attempt to poach students and stop the school from closing, Jane invited a group of parents from Ansons Corner High to see everything that Erinsborough High has to offer. During a walking tour of the campus she delighted in the personalised development plans that she offers to students, highlighting some of the major success stories to come from the school over its history, such as former wallflower, now famed musical star Nina Tucker (Delta Goodrem) as well as internationally renowned fashion designer Donna Freedman (Margot Robbie).

At the end of the tour, Jane, completely unaware that her rival is also at the school, bumps into Terese, Toadie and their architect in the hallway. Furious that Terese is on school property when the deal has yet to be sealed, the two go head to head. Jane calls Terese a “money-hungry bully” and grabs the plans from Terese’s hands.

Tearing the plans into pieces Jane tells Terese “I absolutely hate you for this. I absolutely hate you.” before throwing the shreds of paper on the floor and stamping on them, only to realise that she is being watched by Wendy Rodwell and the parents from Ansons Corner.

Has Jane’s rage ruined any chances of poaching students from the rival school and will this public argument make the ruined friendship between Jane and Terese impossible to salvage?
