Last week was a huge one for the Varga-Murphy family, starting with a suspected Anthrax attack on their house. Just moments after it was found to be a false alarm, JJ dropped the bombshell that he suspected Andrew Rodwell was his father.

There was huge fall out for both the Varga-Murphys and the Rodwells as Remi and Wendy had to come to terms with their partners lying to them and keeping a secret for 17 years. In Monday’s episode (6th November) we saw both families on a knife-edge waiting for the the results of a DNA test to arriving, confirming if Andrew really is JJs father or not.

A distraught Wendy turned to Susan Kennedy for advice who compared her relationship with Holly to how Wendy could be feeling at the thought of JJ being a part of the Rodwell family. As Wendy returns to Ramsay Street she sees her husband and JJ bonding over Mike Young’s motorbike. She approaches them and offers an olive branch to JJ, forgiving him for sneaking into the Rodwell house and assuring him he should carry no guilt over what has happened.

Things were especially strained at No.30 where Cara and Remi were struggling to talk through what happened and Remi couldn’t believe the hurt she felt at her wife’s betrayal. With an uneasy air across the house, Dex was furious at JJ accusing him of ruining the family. Tensions keep rising and JJ runs out of the house, just as an email arrives on Remi’s phone.

Over at No.26, Andrew Rodwell receives the same email. The results are in. The emails are opened, but as Cara and Remi go into the street to tell their son, they see him taking Mike’s motorbike and riding off into the distance.
