Neighbours took to social media this morning (May 12th) to announce their 13th cast returnee. Lucinda Armstrong-Hall will be returning to the show in the role of Holly Hoyland, daughter of Dr. Karl Kennedy and Izzy Hoyland.

Speaking on Instagram, they wrote: “We’re happy to officially announce that Lucinda Armstrong-Hall will be reprising her role as Holly Hoyland in new episodes of #Neighbours later this year. Is Holly still the sweet girl that we all remember? Or is she now more of her mother’s daughter? You’ll have to wait and see…”

Holly was born in 2007 following a one-night-stand between her parents when Karl, under the influence of sleeping medication and alcohol, slept with Izzy thinking that she was his estranged wife, Susan. Holly was born on-screen, while Karl and Susan were on holiday in London. We didn’t see Holly again until 2013 when Holly visited her father in Erinsborough. At this point, Holly’s age had been accelerated from 6 to 8 years old. She then made regular visits to Erinsborough over the next 5 years, last being seen in 2018. Holly was mentioned by her mother, Izzy, during the show’s final episodes in 2022 where it was revealed that her age had once again been accelerated and Holly was said to be 19 years old and studying at university.

Actor Alan Fletcher inadvertently revealed that Armstrong-Hall was returning to the show last week in a post on Instagram, showing the actress on-set.

Neighbours is currently in production in Melbourne and new episodes will begin streaming later this year in the UK on FreeVee.
