Neighbours have officially announced the return date for production on new episodes that will premiere on Amazon later in the year.
In a tweet, Neighbours said: “It’s official, cameras will be rolling for brand new Neighbours from the 17th April 2023! We can’t wait to have #Neighbours back on your screens later this year.”
The date was previously announced by Stefan Dennis in an interview with the BBC last week.
As we know, pre-production on the new series has already started and multiple cast announcements have already been made, including Georgie Stone (Mackenzie Hargreaves), Tim Kano (Leo Tanaka), Rebekah Elmaloglou (Therese Willis) and Annie Jones (Jane Harris) alongside the “big four” – Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne (Karl and Susan Kennedy), Stefan Dennis (Paul Robinson) and Ryan Moloney (Toadie Rebecchi).
The fans in attendance at the final Neighbours Celebration Tour date at the London Palladium tonight were treated to an extra special preview of the Kennedy children portrait being placed above the fireplace in No. 28, alongside the return of the Mrs Mangel portrait – but which house will it hang in when the show returns?
Both Alan Fletcher and Jackie Woodburne were reportedly in tears at the sight of their Ramsay Street home being reassembled in the Nunawading studios.
More announcements are expected over the coming months in the lead up to the big return of Neighbours later in the year.
