One of your old neighbours will look a little bit different when they return to our screens in September.

Byron Stone, son of classic Ramsay Street character, Jane Harris, was played by Joe Klocek in June and July 2022, leaving Ramsay Street just before the shows “finale” episode.

However, taking to social media today (July 15th), the show announced that Byron will return to Erinsborough now portrayed by Xavier Molyneux.

“We’re very excited to announce that Xavier Molyneux will be taking on the role of Byron Stone. The son of Jane Harris, Byron will be thrust into the heart of the Ramsay Street drama when Neighbours returns in September.”

Byron’s original stay on Ramsay Street may have been short but he definitely made an impact. When it was revealed that he was secretly working as a gigolo, the iconic portrait of his great-grandmother, Mrs Mangel, fell off of the wall. After causing friction with his mother and sister, he left Erinsborough for South Africa.

Xavier’s involvement in the show had been rumoured since he was pictured on Pin Oak Court, the real life location used for Ramsay Street, filming with guest star Mischa Barton. Reality TV fans may recognise Xavier as he was a housemate on the 2020 series of Big Brother Australia, evicted 30 days after entering the house. He has also appeared in short films and recently finished filming his first feature film, “Take My Hand”.

This isn’t the first time that Big Brother housemates have arrived in Erinsborough. Blair McDonough, who appeared on Big Brother in 2001, played the role of Stuart Parker in Neighbours from 2001-2006, briefly reprising his role in 2018 and during the finale episode in 2022.

Byron Stone is the 19th regular character confirmed to be appearing in the new episodes of the show currently under production in Melbourne. New episodes are expected to stream in the UK on Amazon Freevee from September.

If you can’t wait until then for your dose of Ramsay Street, this week Freevee made all episodes from 2019 and 2020 available to watch, alongside every episode from 2012-2018 as well as over 100 iconic episodes from all eras of the show.
