We have so much to look forward to next week in the Daytime Emmy Award-Nominated Neighbours (That’s right folks, EMMY NOMINATED!). And we have a look at some of the unmissable drama that will unfold in Erinsborough.

Love her or hate her, there is no denying that Chelsea has really stirred things up… but as Jeffrey begins to get attached, is time running out on her secret? The Haz Hacker storyline continues it’s rollercoasting trajectory, is everything really as it seems? Are Paul and Terese destined to reunite? Will Karl unexpectedly need the toilet?

Here’s some of the big stories you have to look forward to.

KRISTA FALLS OFF THE WAGON

Struggling to deal with grief following the loss of baby Hope, Krista managed to find some comfort b returning to her habit of substance abuse. WHen she bumps into Aaron, using alcohol to numb his own grief and the two wallow in pity together, with Krista promising that this is a one off and she will return to sobriety.

Aaron, trying to come to terms with the loss of David, returns to their former home in Daylesford and Krista joins him, returning the good favour and supporting her friend. The tone of the trip changes when pills fall out of Krista’s bag, was she lying to him when she said that she was going back on the wagon?

Chelsea, who was responsible for putting temptation in Krista’s path, recognises the signs, meaning she knows that Krista has gone back on the pills. What will Chelsea do next to ensure that Krista disappears from her life?

THE END OF THE ROAD FOR HAZ AND MACKENZIE AS THE HACKING MYSTERY DEEPENS

Mackenzie meets up with Wade once again, buying into his story and sharing details about her life, unaware that he is making note of information that he can use against her. When Mack reveals that she dreams about one day being on the Supreme Court, it is clear that Wade is about to put a big spoke in her wheel…

He tells Mack that his hacker created a deep fake that showed him sexually assaulting someone, when the video was leaked it completely destroyed his life. That is the last straw for Mack and she breaks up with Haz.

Riddled with guilt, Haz writes an apology letter to everyone affected by the deep fakes and hacking, including Wade. He hand delivers the letter and explains his connection to Mackenzie, but Wade explains that he lied to Mackenzie and there was no sexual assault deep fake, he just told her that to make her break up with Haz. With the upper hand, Wade makes Haz an offer he can’t refuse…

Haz realises it is time to come clean and he goes to the police, admitting everything about his past life to Andrew, who admits that Haz will probably end up in jail for what he did. As friends and neighbours turn on Haz, his concern about the impact all of this will have on Mackenzie drives him to do the unthinkable…

TERESE PULLS AWAY FROM PAUL

Paul continues to assist Terese with her recruitment issue at Eirini Rising. Spending more time around Paul and going back to the way things used to be between them causes Terese to have an unsettling dream about why they broke up – Paul covered up a murder.

Chelsea, jealous of the place Terese still has in Paul’s heart, tries to tell him he’s fooling himself if he thinks he’ll get what he wants from Terese again… and she’s proved right when the dream causes Terese to pull away, leaving Paul deeply disappointed.

THE VARGA-MURPHYS ARE ALARMED AS DEX GOES MISSING

Concerned that tensions are rising between Dex and JJ, Cara suggests a spontaneous camping trip to get the family connecting again. Dex isn’t enthusiastic about the trip but Remi convinces him that this is what JJ needs to get back on track, so he reluctantly joins them. But when Dex accidentally ruins lunch, he feels that he doesn’t get the same support from his parents as JJ does. He retreats to his tent for some seclusion, but when Cara and Remi go to check on Dex later on, they find him missing, with nothing but bush surrounding them.

The family frantically search for Dex with no success, but there is relief when Byron calls them to let them know that Dex has made his way home. When the rest of the family arrive back in Erinsborough, Dex admits to them that he feels frustrated and doesn’t get the attention that JJ does, because he stays out of trouble. Cara and Remi apologise for not treating their sons fairly and promise to make more of an effort, but the distance between the two brothers is still very evident.

SUSAN RETURNS TO A TEMPTING OFFER AS KARL IS NAMED AS THE PHANTOM POOPER

Karl is humiliated when he rides past his billboard fro Eirini Rising to find that it has been defaced and names him as Erinsborough’s phantom pooper. Wendy and Melanie confer and agree that neither of them had spread Mel’s playful theory about Karl, but Melanie’s guilt gets the better of her and she confesses to Karl, which makes him feel even worse about the situation. Before he can spiral any further, Susan arrives home sooner than expected and he realises he can get through anything – even these unsavoury rumours – with Susan by his side.

Terese is surprised when Paul suggests the perfect person to take the Operations Manager role – Susan! When Terese approaches Susan she is flattered and tempted, but is concerned that taking the job would make her Karl’s boss.

Terese gives Susan some time to talk to Karl, but she is reluctant to raise the issue while he is dealing with the phantom pooper rumours.

Karl eventually finds out about the offer and is supportive. Susan admits that she hid the offer from him because she didn’t want any potential conflict at work to follow them home. Karl is convinced that they can make it work and this new challenge could be just what Susan has been looking for, but she isn’t so sure.

The rumours about Karl’s involvement in the pooping scandal continue to grow and Karl is forced to deal with the neighbourhood talking – and laughing – about him… it pushes him to his limits when Terese forces him out of the showcase for Eirini Rising in an attempt to avoid bad publicity.

Is Karl the mystery pooper? Can Dex and JJ make amends? Will Krista get back on track or will her addictions get the better of her? What is the truth in the hacking situation and what are Wade’s true motivations?

The unmissable drama all plays out next week with new episodes dropping at 7am Monday-Thursday on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video.
