Are you ready to do it all again?

Neighbours have teased an announcement next month for a follow-up to the immensely popular Neighbours Celebration Tour that swept the UK in last spring.

The tour was the brainchild of Joe and Lissy Julians of Mapletree Entertainment and originally was supposed to be a one-night-only event in London for celebrate the show’s 35th anniversary in 2020. When the COVID 19 pandemic hit the show was postponed.

When the shock cancellation news came in early 2022 the show had to pivot to becoming a Farewell Show, thanking British fans for 27 years of support. Due to unprecedented demand, additional dates were added across the UK.

Show organisers had to change their plans once again when Amazon announced that they were resurrecting the show. So, the 35th anniversary show which had become to Farewell Tour now became the Celebration Tour and even more dates were added.

In total, the Neighbours Celebration Tour sold out 15 nights across the UK including 3 nights at the 2,286-seat London Palladium, a venue where they set a record for the amount of merchandise sold in a single night. Across the UK fans clamoured to pick up Harold’s Cafe mugs, programmes and that iconic Ramsay Street sign.

A slightly different line-up also appeared in Melbourne the night before production recommenced on the rebooted series in April.

The show, hosted by TV journalist and certified Neighbours superfan, Leah Boleto, featured interviews with Alan Fletcher, Jackie Woodburne, Annie Jones, Ryan Moloney, April-Rose Pengilly and Stefan Dennis. Fans also enjoyed plenty of montages of footage from the show’s history, behind-the-scenes secrets and a Q&A. It was a true fan-focused event and the show ended with a rendition of “Thank You For Being A Friend”, a thanks you for the support of the fans following the cancellation announcement. The entire audience closed the show by joining the cast in a rousing rendition of the iconic Neighbours theme tune.

Taking to social media this morning (19th March) Neighbours shared a video of highlights from the tour, and highlighting its successes.

At the end of the video, it simply says “Anyone fancy another one” and teases fans to stand by as all will be revealed in April.

We reached out to Mapletree Entertainment who, once again, are producing the event, but told us that they can’t reveal anything until the official announcement next month.

With the show’s 40th birthday next March, a huge milestone and the first time a drama series in Australia has reached that mark, it is logical to presume that it will be something connected to that anniversary, but what would you like to see? Another event similar to last year or a different spin on celebrating the show? Which stars, past or present would you like to see involved?

Mapletree Entertainment are also the force behind “Toad on the Road”, a 20-date audience with Ryan Moloney, who has played Toadfish Rebecchi since 1995. Tickets for Toad on the Road can be purchased HERE.

We are excited, hopefully you are too. As soon as we have anything new to share, it will be right here on Ramsay Street UK, the UKs favourite source of gossip direct from Erinsborough.
