We first met Sadie Rodwell in 2022 as a school frenemy of Zara Selwyn and, along with Aubrey Laing, managed to get into a lot of trouble. She was responsible for setting up an Instagram thirst account for Hendrix called Hendrix Heat and then was involved in the setting of the Erinsborough High fire which ultimately lead to Hendrix’s illness and death.

Since the show returned, we have mostly seen Sadie helping Leo Tanaka take care of his daughter, Abigail. Most recently she played detective, uncovering Paul’s liaison with Eden on the night before David’s death.

One thing we haven’t seen, is a love interest for Sadie. Aside from an unrequited crush on Hendrix, Sadie has stayed well away from the guys, but all that looks set to change.

On a night out drinking with her girlfriends, Sadie lets it slip that she is still a virgin and has never hooked up with anyone. She says she wants to wait until she finds someone special to take things to the “next level”, but that person doesn’t seem to exist. (I wonder if she has considered looking outside of Ramsay Street for a possible partner?)

Later, seeing Sadie and Byron talking, Holly comes up with an idea. What if Sadie sets her targets on Byron?

Since Reece left, Byron hasn’t jumped back on the dating train and while Sadie may not be a billionaire, she is young, single and conveniently lives just a footstep away.

Is it time for Byron and Sadie to get together? Byrie? Sadon? Is this Erinsborough’s next big love story or will something get in their way?

This story will begin to unfold on Monday, 26th February and new episodes are available to stream on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video from 7am, Monday to Thursday.
