The latest set of spoiler images for next week’s episodes of Neighbour have revealed a surprise returnee.
As JJ Varga-Murphy arranges a 40th birthday party for his mum, Cara, we see that amongst those invited to the party is Felicity Bosman, Remi’s friend and hairdresser, played by Effie Nkrumah.
We last saw Felicity in June when Cara noticed that Remi was overdoing things, trying to juggle her home and work life after being newly-promoted. As a special treat, Felicity came in and gave Remi a day of pampering, including a spectacular new hairstyle.
Felicity pops back to Ramsay Street this week to help Cara celebrate her 40th birthday. Cara, not being the kind who loves a lot of attention, doesn’t feel excited at the prospect of celebrating her birthday in a big way.
Sadie Rodwell uses her make up skills to give Cara a glam makeover, but still she isn’t convinced.
Only after reading a letter from her younger self does she realise that she needs to step out of her comfort zone a little more and so, with the help of Remi, embraces the opportunity for a new look for the night and heads to the party.
A Ramsay Street party wouldn’t be complete without at least a sprinkle of unmissable drama, so viewers will also see Andrew Rodwell confront Wendy’s university friend, Quinn, on why he is spending so much time around his wife. Andrew is shocked when Wendy volunteers a confession about Quinn.
Another party attendee is Nell Rebecchi. Invited by JJ, they use the party to reconnect after awkwardly admitting that they like each other. JJ and Nell take the conversation outside and their friendship goes to a different level.
Even though Felicity’s appearance in June was a fleeting one, she was a hit with viewers with her vibrant personality and on-screen chemistry with Remi.
Although Neighbours is Effie’s only television credit, she is an accomplished dancer and stage actor and can be seen as a dancer in the Hollywood movie “The Great Gatsby”. She is also the founder of Keziah Jemima, a fashion brand where all pieces are hand-crafted in Ghana, a country where Effie lived for 10 years.
We will have to wait and see if her return is a one-off or if we can expect to see Felicity popping back on a more regular basis, but we are happy to see her back and love when we see friends and family who live outside of Ramsay Street come to visit.
