Felix Rodwell is back and, seemingly, a changed man. He assisted Andrew in exposing Wade’s plans to sabotage Haz and Mackenzie’s wedding. Holly Hoyland is struggling following being kidnapped about 20 times in the last year. Using the money she stole from Heath (which he in turn had stolen from the Sinclairs) she is numbing the pain through retail therapy, but can she keep the secret of her financial windfall for much longer?

There is a lot going on next week, so check out some of the main stories below, as always, we don’t tell you EVERYTHING! Make sure you tune in to Neighbours to see the whole story.

FAREWELL, TOADFISH

After almost 30 years of living on Ramsay Street, the time has come for Toadie to say an emotional farewell. With a classic Ramsay Street party planned to say goodbye, Toadie plays things down, saying he doesn’t need a big send-off, but Susan admits that the party is as much for her and Karl as it is for him. Toadie has been an important part of their life for so long and each ending brings a new beginning.

Inspired by Susan’s words, Toadie speaks with Melanie, making sure they are in a good place before he goes. Mel is fully supportive of Toadie and encourages him to forgive himself for everything that has happened.

He wishes that he could have the same conversation with Terese , but she won’t even see him and Terese admits to Susan that she never wants to see Toadie again.

The day of the party arrives and it is an emotional time as the street celebrates one of its most beloved residents. Before he leaves, Toadie cements his place as a surrogate member of the Kennedy family with a very special gift for Karl and Susan.

As the party draws to a close, Terese, who turned down an invite, talks to Paul. He convinces her to get some closure on everything and she eventually does go to say goodbye.

Toadie, Nell and Hugo drive off, leaving Erinsborough behind.

WENDY’S LIE IS EXPOSED

After seeing Wendy hugging Quinn at the tram, Byron decides he needs to confide in Sadie. She is understandably devastated and immediately drops this revelation on her parents, letting them fight the problem out.

Wendy explains that Quinn begged to see her about a uni problem and the friendship is over. She promises to tell Andrew straight away if Quinn attempts to contact her, which Andrew tells her he accepts, but is he really OK with the situation?

IS FELIX A CHANGED MAN?

The new-look Felix is full of compassion and willing to help everyone he can. When he hears about Gino’s furniture causing havoc in the courtyard at EIrini Rising, he offers to help move it.

When Cara and Remi find Felix checking out the piles of furniture, they jump to the wrong conclusion and an argument ensues. Remi is willing to hear Felix out and they eventually come to an agreement that he is to let them know if he is going to be anywhere near JJ’s work.

It doesn’t take long for JJ to bump into Felix at Eirini Rising, which throws them both off. Felix goes to Remi to apologise for the unplanned meeting. Sensing the level of concern Felix has, Remi softens her opinion of Felix but Cara is adamant, Felix is never to be trusted.

HOLLY’S SPENDING HAS UNEXPECTED CONSEQUENCES

Holly has been burning through Heath’s money buying treats and gifts for herself and her friends, she finally buys herself the biggest treat of all, an overpriced car.

She can’t really hide the extravagant purchase and immediately feels the weight of everyone’s judgment when they see her latest treat – especially the judgment of Wendy who immediately smells a rat.

Wendy sticks to the agreement that she had with Holly and doesn’t mention Heath’s money to Karl, but she does speak to him about worried she is about Holly’s spending and how she is dealing with the trauma of the past few months.

When Karl sits down with her, she brushes off his concerns and heads out to enjoy her car, but she then gets an anonymous text message asking for Heath’s money back and her feeling of joy quickly turns to one of panic.

Detective Holly Wong quickly puts the pieces together and works out that the text came from Justin, Tess and Heath’s former henchman who kidnapped Melanie and Toadie.

She realises that she needs to give Justin the little bit of money she still has left but is shocked when she finds out that Karl and Susan have thrown away the bag of compost she was using to store the stash.

Justin is not going to be happy.

Wendy observes Holly’s erratic behaviour and works out that Holly kept some of the stolen money and used it to buy the car. Wendy can’t keep quiet any more, she needs to tell Susan what Holly has been up to.

Susan decides to talk with Holly away from Karl and they dip into The Waterhole for a talk. (What a great idea – nobody’s secrets have ever been exposed at The Waterhole!) but what starts off as a friendly chat soon turns into something sinister when Justin turns up with a gun, taking Holly hostage. (This young lady really needs to try to not get kidnapped quite so often.)

Justin orders The Waterhole into lockdown and takes everyone’s phones so they can’t call out. Leo discovers the pub doors are locked and quickly realises the situation and drafts in the police.

Andrew tries to control the hostage situation, but Justin doesn’t want to co-operate. Andrew thinks this is just another run of the mill day of high drama, not realising that Wendy is in The Waterhole, locked in the office with Quinn.

Felix, determined to help, sneaks into The Waterhole dressed as a worker and manages to hide a phone that Andrew can use to listen in on what is happening inside.

When Justin discovers Felix, there is a commotion allowing Aaron to escape, which angers Justin who lashes out at Paul and Holly.

The siege continues overnight, Sadie is worried when she realises that Wendy never came home and isn’t answering her calls or texts.

Meanwhile, Justin has discovered Wendy and Quinn hiding out and is less than happy… and of course Andrew listens in on what’s happening, discovering that his wife was hidden away with the man she vowed not to see again.

Realising that the situation is getting worse, Felix realises that he needs to take action and so lunges at Justin.

A shot rings out from inside the pub and Andrew panics, knowing that Justin was with Wendy when the shot was fired. The Critical Response Team finally storm the building, but Felix has everything under control.

Justin is secured and everyone is safe, thanks to Felix.

As people start to file out of The Waterhole, a shaken Wendy emerges and wonders where her husband is, why isn’t he looking for her?

In tears, she eventually finds Andrew but he coldly stares at her and just demands to know why she was with Quinn.

Is this the final straw for the Rodwells? Is Felix the Erinsborough Citizen of the Year, or is it all an act. With Toadie gone, will Terese be able to move on and will Paul be able to control his desires?
