Next week’s exciting Tell All – Flashback Week sees a whole host of former Erinsborough residents return to Ramsay Street to fill in gaps surrounding the time between Toadie and Melanie’s wedding and the new episodes that began on Amazon Freevee back in September.
One of the familiar faces returning to Neighbours is Olivia Junkeer, who starred as Yashvi Rebecchi, the niece of legend Toadie Rebecchi, originally between 2017 and 2021 with a brief return for the 2022 season finale.
Speaking on Ramsay Street Revelations, the new social mini-series posted regularly by the Neighbours digital team, Olivia explained what brings her back to the show: “Yashvi is back to fill in the gaps of some old eps. So she’s not really back – it’s more like flashback stuff. It’s a little teaser, I would say.”
She also added a little tidbit of news regarding where Yashvi is at in her life right now: “[Yashvi] moved back to where [her] mum and dad (Dipi and Shane Rebecchi, played by Sharon Johal and Nicholas Coghlan) live because [she] had a really bad accident in a car crash, so I think she’s having a lovely time with Ned (Yashvi’s boyfriend, Ned Willis, played by Ben Hall) and she’s back in the force. I think she’s in a lower role, something less active, but she’s slowly working herself up and she still keeps in contact with Levi (her former colleague Levi Canning, portrayed by Richie Morris).”
“Rest assured, Yashvi and Ned are solid. They are amazing.” Olivia added, which will be great news for fans of the couple, who were last seen pashing under a marquee at Toadie and Melanie’s wedding.
Olivia also spoke of her time since leaving Neighbours, and where she has been spotted by fans: “I have been living in the UK. I didn’t get recognised that much in the UK. I got recognised in Florence in Italy, which was bizarre. And then at like a swimming pool in Stratford.”
With Yashvi’s return scenes restricted to flashbacks set around Toadie and Melanie’s wedding, that means she won’t be entwined in the explosive present day drama that will have huge consequences for a number of Ramsay Street residents, but Olivia hasn’t ruled out further returns for her character: “Yashvi, I think will come and go. I don’t know. I don’t know.”
She then ended her Ramsay Street Revelations video by saying “I’ll see you guys soon.”
