It is a big week for Neighbours as on Thursday we get the 100th episode since the show moved to Amazon and this Monday is episode 9,000. Whilst the show won’t be making a big deal of their 9,000th installment, there are definitely more than a few nods to the momentous occasion. We won’t spoil them now for you, but keep your eyes and ears open during Monday’s visit to Erinsborough.

The unmissable drama continues to unfold as the Paul/Terese/Toadie/Melanie love quadrangle becomes even more complex and Chelsea continues to try and insert herself as the fifth member of this confusing situation. The Rodwells gain a new member of the family as Felix arrives and Sadie Rodwell turns up the heat on her friendship with Byron.

TOADIE RUNS TO MELANIE AS PAUL BECOMES TERESE’S HERO

Toadie notices that Terese is spending more time worrying about Paul than working on their troubled marriage. Feeling shut out, Toadie seeks out Melanie to vent on the situation with her. When Melanie moves closer to soothe Toadie, there is a loaded moment between the two of them and Toadie scarpers before he can cross the line.

As the week progresses, Toadie and Terese don’t spend any time on working through their problems. Terese is consumed by the hunt for Josh’s plaque that has mysteriously gone missing from the Lassiters lobby. When Toadie sees Melanie spending time with his kids and being the perfect mother-figure, he realises that he really needs to make an effort to save his relationship with Terese before he makes a big mistake. He decides that a big date night will be just what he and Terese need to reconnect and get back on track.

Paul gets word that the plaque may have ended up at the local rubbish dump, so he jumps to Terese’s rescue and vows to find the plaque. He drives to the local dump and wades through piles of garbage in the hunt. Terese joins Paul in the search and cancels her date with Toadie…

Devastated, Toadie onces again seeks out Melanie to vent to her about his feelings. After being the one that he turns to for the second time in just a couple of days, Melanie questions why he really keeps turning to her in these moments…

CHELSEA IS WARNED OF PAUL ROBINSON’S LEGACY

With Chelsea trying to insert herself into every aspect of Paul’s life, she attempts to convince Aaron and Nicolette that they should allow Paul time with Isla. They both initially shut her down quickly, but after a conversation with Remi, Nicolette has a change of heart.

Aaron, on the other hand, is full of fire and feels that he needs to warn Chelsea about Paul so that she is fully aware of what he will do to her, based on how he has treated people in the past. Taking her on a “Paul Robinson Greatest Hits Tour”, showing her Paul’s dastardly trail of destruction.

Aaron and Nicolette’s different opinions cause more friction between the pair. Over at No.24 it is a difficult living situation and Jane tries to convince Nic that she should be the one to try and build a bridge. Nicolette unleashes on her mother, feeling that she is taking Aaron’s side.

Jane reminds Nic that she is grieving too and no one has considered her feelings and what a considerable strain the current situation in the house is like for her whilst she is grieving alone.

JANE HIDES HER FEELINGS FROM MIKE

On a video call, Mike reveals that he has been asked to stay on and host another bike tour across Europe. Jane conceals how she is struggling and tells Mike that he should do what he needs to do. She pretends that she can cope for another three months without him, to stop Mike from worrying, but it is obvious that Jane is painfully disappointed as she hangs up the call.

SADIE AND BYRON’S TRYST HAS AN AWKWARD AFTERMATH

When Holly suggested that Sadie lose her virginity to Byron, Sadie was quick to shoot her friend down. She wants her first time to be something special and doesn’t want to just use Byron for sex, based on his previous work as an escort. With the Byron seed firmly planted in her head, she realises that maybe Byron could be the one, but not just sexually… what would be wrong with a relationship with him?

At a house party at No.32, the drink is flowing and Sadie finds herself alone with Byron. An impromptu dance lesson by the pool turns into a charged moment and the pair fall into a sexy tangle. The following morning is it obvious that they took things to the ‘Next Level’, but Sadie sneaks out of the house before Byron or his housemates can wake up.

Scared to reveal her feelings for Byron, thinking that it was meaningless for him, Sadie plays it cool and gives him the impression she isn’t interested and doesn’t want to take things further. Holly, forever as subtle as a sledgehammer, tells Byron about the original plan to use him to lose Sadie’s virginity and he is furious.

Sadie admits that they had talked about using Byron, but that isn’t why she slept with him. There is an awkward air between the two, will either of them actually admit that they are into this, or will they just stay friends?

FELIX RODWELL ARRIVES AND FACES A HARSH TRUTH

Andrew Rodwell’s brother is released from prison and arrives to stay with Andrew and his family – part of his parole conditions. Andrew is completely unaware that Felix secretly believes he could be JJs father, having lied about giving a sperm donation to Philippa.

It isn’t long after arriving on the street that Felix is introduced to JJ and the situation becomes very real, very quickly. Out of curiosity, he is drawn to JJ, but is shocked when he sees, during JJ’s boxing lesson with Andrew, that the teenager has a birthmark almost identical to one that Felix has.

All of these stories will play out in this week’s episodes, with a new installment available to stream from 9am, Monday-Thursday on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video.
