Ramsay Street is going to be rocked to its foundations over the next couple of weeks as the residents deal with a huge tragedy and even more lives will be put at risk.
We have seen former doctor David Tanaka sacrifice his own life to save the life of Eden Shaw during a break to a mountain retreat. Eden had learned that Krista was pregnant with his child and somehow knew about their trip away.
Eden turned up at the holiday spot and was attempting to murder Leo Tanaka. Twin brother David stepped in to save Leo, causing him and Eden to fall off of a cliff. Whilst both survive the fall, Eden is unresponsive and David convinces Aaron and Leo that he is OK and that they need to take Eden to receive urgent help.
David was hiding a serious injury from the pair and when they returned to collect David, he was dead.
In 2022 David had put his own feelings ahead of his medical ethics, refusing to treat Gareth Bateman who was injured after violently attacking Aaron Brennan. Gareth died and David’s involvement in that not only caused him to lose his job and his medical license, but it haunted David severely and was a part of what forced him, along with his family, to leave Erinsborough.
After being saved by Aaron and Leo, Krista takes Eden to Hospital. Next week we see that Eden escapes the hospital and returns to Ramsay Street. These images show him inside No.28 Ramsay Street, where both Melanie Pearson, who he extorted money from as well as his ex girlfriend, Holly Hoyland both live.
Clearly in pain from his injuries, Eden takes Melanie hostage, tying her to a chair and threatening her with a sharp object (Melanie can not get a break, can she?).
Police descend on Ramsay Street as the siege takes hold. How long with Eden be able to evade capture?
Elsewhere in Erinsborough, Paul faces his demons once again with immense guilt over the death of his son, with whom he hadn’t really spoken to in over a year. Paul finds solace in the arms of Chelsea Murphy, but people feel that her presence is not helping the situation much and she is finally called out on her shady behaviour.
After being held captive by Eden, it seems that Melanie gets to spend some time with Toadie… but he insists he is still madly in love with Terese.
These scenes will play out between February 5th and February 15th 2024, with new episodes dropping Monday-Thursday at 7am on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video.
