A little piece of Erinsborough has been recreated in East London to celebrate the return of Neighbours and last night, cast from the show mingled with other famous faces to launch the The Neighbours Experience.

Stefan Dennis (Paul), Rebekah Elmaloglou (Terese), Georgie Stone (Mackenzie), Tim Kano (Leo) and Alan Fletcher (Dr Karl) were joined by guest star Mischa Barton who will be playing Reece Sinclair when the legendary series returns to our screens next week. After touring the exhibit the cast took part in a Q&A about the refreshed series.

Other celebrities including Rylan, Gemma Collins and Strictly’s own Aussie Diva, Dianne Buswell took part in the Ultimate Neighbours Pub Quiz against show superfans.

The Neighbours Experience opened to the public this morning and fans of the show can look forward to an immersive experience bring together recreations of iconic locations such as Harold’s Cafe, Lassiters Hotel reception and Karl and Susan Kennedy’s living room. There are lots of iconic props including the wedding dress worn by Charlene Mitchell (Kylie Minogue) and the outfits worn by Jane and Mike (Annie Jones and Guy Pearce) in the show’s 2022 finale. Hundreds of fans are expected to visit over the weekend, all excited for the show’s return on Monday. During the Q&A Alan Fletcher talk about the outpouring of love from fans over the last 18 months since the cancellation was announced, “Neighbours isn’t just a TV show, it’s a part of people’s lives…” But he is also aware that there are a lot of people who have never watched Neighbours before or maybe haven’t watched since the days of Mrs. Mangel and Bouncer. “If you turn on the new Neighbours next Monday [on Amazon Freevee], having never watched an episode in your life, you will have no problem falling in love with the show.” We have a mix of favourites and fabulous new people in the cast…it’s back and better than ever!”

The first new episode of the show, number 8904, will debut on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video on Monday. Because it is a streaming service you can watch the show at any time that suits you through the day. A new episode will be available every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7am.
