THIS ARTICLE REFERENCES THE UNMISSABLE DRAMA THAT OCCURRED DURING THE EPISODE THAT AIRED ON WEDNESDAY 15th NOVEMBER 2023
As Tell-All Flashback Week progresses we slowly are learning pieces of the events that led to the end of Toadie and Melanie’s marriage. So far this week we have been learning of things that happened on and around their wedding day that Toadie was completely unaware of. Today, we progressed a year to the time when Paul and Terese were renewing their wedding vows and learnt of new players in the saga and a dramatic turn of events.
After not seeing or hearing from Krista for almost a year, Melanie felt her life was back on track, but then Krista started sending her postcards from various locations drawing ever closer to Erinsborough. Melanie says she can pinpoint this at the time that all of her happiness started to slip away.
Finally, Krista arrives and appears to be taking drugs again. She tries to extort more money out of Melanie. Melanie rightfully refuses, saying she feels her life is ruined because of Krista. Melanie loses her temper and storms away, telling Krista to leave her alone. Upset, she bumps into David, for him, this unknowingly leads to his involvement in the drama. In the present day, Melanie doesn’t want to continue the story until David arrives with Aaron and Nicolette, as they are all involved and the next part of the story changed all of their lives too.
David, Aaron, Nicolette and Isla are en route from their new home in the country but decide to stop off at Paul’s Penthouse before going to Ramsay Street. David blames Paul for not allowing them to come clean and making him move away from Erinsborough.
Eden was back in Erinsborough too, now dating Krista. He began stalking Melanie as Krista was calling, begging for money and eventually threatening to call the Police on Melanie if she didn’t give her money. Melanie refused to give in, but one day, when the steps are tampered with on Melanie’s Drinks Diva van, causing Hugo to injure himself, Melanie sees red, knowing that Krista and Eden are to blame. Krista can do whatever she likes to her, but she will not tolerate having her family threatened. Confronting Krista she tells her she refuses to be used and bled dry by her and this has to end.
At the Penthouse, Paul is excited to see David but the feeling is not mutual. He explains that Melanie is back on Ramsay Street, telling Toadie and Terese everything.
“When you say everything, do you mean EVERYTHING?” questions Paul. David explains he only came to see Paul to appeal to him to do the right thing. He encourages him to go to the Police and get ahead of what Melanie is saying.
“No!” screams Paul “She has to be stopped. For her sake and for ours.” David encourages Paul once again to own up. He refuses. “She cannot drag us down with her.”
David and Paul leave the Penthouse to head to Ramsay Street and face the music.
How is Paul involved? How is David involved? What happened that caused Paul to jilt Terese at the altar? How is this all connected to Melanie, Krista and Eden. The final day of Flashback Week tomorrow promises some of the answers, as the stories all begin to come together.
