After Terese’s idea of her Retirement Experience sharing the space with Erinsborough High, rather than shutting the school down, she and Jane Harris have been working hard to make the idea a reality. They had been drawing up plans for the project and coming up with their pitch to the council on why it would be such a good idea for the area. Today was the day that would make or break their plans as they meet with councillors, seeking their approval.

When Terese arrived at Jane’s house to take her to the meeting, she wasn’t convinced that Jane was presenting the right image. Terese was dressed, as expected, in a black business dress, Jane looking a little more homely, with a prim blouse, powder blue cardigan and reading glasses on a chain around her neck.

Byron and Nicolette poked fun at how Jane looked, so Terese thought it was time to look for something more appropriate, changing her into an impressive power suit. As Jane Harris did a slow-motion twirl in her lounge room, she got a distinct sense of deja-vu. After all, this isn’t the first makeover Jane has had on Ramsay Street, is it?

Their pitch session went well, with little objection from the council board. One councillor in particular, Anthony Marin, showed particular support, promising Jane and Terese he will do everything he can to make sure it gets approved. This particularly surprised Terese as he has a reputation for being very conservative around planning applications, but is hugely influential, so him being on their side can only be positive.

As Terese and Jane celebrate the success of their pitch with Jane’s family, there are secret concerns. Will the plan get approved and is their support from an unexpected council member exactly as it seems?

The story continues tomorrow with a new episode dropping at 7am on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video. New episodes are available Monday-Thursday on both platforms and, for the first time in 4 years, episodes will continue throughout Christmas and New Year with an episode on Christmas Day.
