The end of last week saw the huge bombshell that Vic Stone is terminally ill, much to the shock of Jane, Byron and Nicolette. Byron is forced to reassess his feelings about his father and even Jane is surprised by how she feels about her ex-husband.

The pressure is on at Eirini Rising where they are getting ready for the big grand opening, butu with the working relationship between Terese and Susan on very rocky ground, will everything go to plan?

So, let’s take a look what we can expect next week in Erinsborough, as always we have left some of the juiciest parts of the story out, so make sure you watch to see exactly what the neighbours get up to!

A MYSTERY PERSON PAYS A VISIT TO THE VINEYARD

JJ is excited to start his new job at the vineyard, but gets a quick dose of reality when the tasks he is given to do are menial and boring. Nell, who has fallen behind with her homework, decides to skip school and head to the vineyard to hang out with JJ. He is really happy for the distraction, but it means he isn’t paying attention to his work.

When the pair leave a room unlocked, a shadowy figure enters and injects a mysterious substance into one of the bottles of wine that JJ was supposed to be getting ready for the Eirini Rising gala opening.

On the day of the opening the wine arrives with everyone unaware that one of the bottles has been tampered with. Who will drink the poisoned wine?

THE STONE FAMILY BOND FOLLOWING VIC’S REVELATION

Following the revelation that Vic is terminally ill with bowel cancer, his family take some time to gather their thoughts. Byron finds the situation even harder as he hasn’t had a great relationship with his father and is now having very conflicted feelings. Jane offers to mediate between Vic and Byron and with her support, the two find a way to come back together.

Vic outlines a plan to secure a financial legacy for his children and although Byron and Nicolette struggle with their father’s generosity, Jane can’t help but be affected by seeing this side of he ex-husband emerge and both she and Vic can’t help but wonder what could have been between them…

AFter spending some quality time with his children, Vic decides to delve deeper into their personal lives. When he learns that Nicolette has spent the night with Haz’s sister Amira and sees how energised Nic is to have found a connection with someone again, he makes a point to tell Amira to seize the day and jump into a relationship with Nicolette.

Vic also manages to get Byron to admit that he has strong feelings for Sadie and can possibly see a future for the two of them. Vic then shares this information with Wendy, who is shocked.

When Byron and Nicolette both find out that their father has been meddling in their relationships, they are mortified and confront Vic and tell him to back off. Is this new found game of happy families short-lived?

THE RESIDENTS ARRIVE AT EIRINI RISING

Terese is ecstatic to learn that another apartment at the complex has been sold, but that joy is short-lived when she finds out that Hilary RObinson has bought it. Terese confronts Paul, believing that he bought the apartment for Hilary so that he has an excuse to stay relevant in her life, but is embarrassed when Hilary admits it was all her idea and Paul didn’t know anything about the purchase. Terese makes an apology but as Paul heads to New York for Rosemary’s funeral, their relationship is still on ice.

Harold Bishop returns to Erinsborough and on the night before he moves into Eirini Rising, his friends hold a special dinner for him as a reminder of how much he is loved by the community. When his friends notice that Harold is a little emotional, they think he is worried about entering the next stage of his life, but Harold is forced to admit that the reason he is feeling so melancholic is that returning to Erinsborough is reminding him of Madge…

SUSAN AND TERESE CONTINUE TO BUTT HEADS

As the Eirini Rising opening begins, Susan and Terese are still struggling to work with each other. After admitting to Harold how unhappy she is, Susan confronts Terese and tells her that the job isn’t worth losing their friendship over, and that Terese should start looking for a replacement.

Both women confide in their husbands about the situation which gives them a new sense of clarity. The pair get everything out in the open and resolve to change the way they handle each other and recommit to working harmoniously together.

AARON IDENTIFIES THE MYSTERY POOPER

On a mission to uncover the mystery pooper, Aaron joins the YAHMILs and it doesn’t take long to work out who is dropping their cycling shorts around the neighbourhood.

Aaron rushes to the Eirini Rising opening to share the news with Karl, but Aaron is shocked to find the culprit, Jacob, is at the event. It turns out that he is the grandson of Shirley Burchmore, Terese’s most influential resident.

Karl confronts Jacob and plans to make sure everyone knows who is really the pooper, but Shirley is horrified. If Karl speaks up, Shirley will cancel the purchase of her apartment and will get her friends to pull out as well.

Karl is adamant that the truth is more important, but when Shirley drops a bribe in Karl’s direction, he is easily swayed…

MACKENZIE PREPARES FOR HAZ TO RETURN HOME

Mackenzie, worried that it is make or break for their relationship, pulls out all the stops for Haz’s homecoming, but is derailed when Amira takes over. Mack admits to her friends that she doesn’t know how to navigate the relationship and dynamic between Haz and Amira whilst trying to salvage her own relationship with Haz.

Can Mackenzie and Haz reunite?

All of this drama will play out next week, with episodes landed on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime video from 7am, Monday-Thursday.
