In the short time since Cara’s older sister, Chelsea, swept into Ramsay Street we have seen her make an impression on people around her, influencing her nephews and causing tension between Cara and Remi, leaving Remi wondering exactly why Chelsea had turned up unannounced.

Last week we saw Chelsea curiously researching the Robinson Family Tree (an unenviable task, that thing is COMPLICATED), but what business does she have with the Robinson family?

We see her try to make a connection with Paul Robinson, but his busy schedule means that her advances always get cut short. When she sees him interacting with Terese and notices how Paul prioritises her, she drills her for intel on Paul and later decides to give herself a bit of a Terese-esque makeover, adopting her fashion style, wearing her favourite perfume and copying Terese’s mannerisms (We REALLY hope that there is a cape involved).

Paul recognises the familiar smell and it draws him into Chelsea’s orbit. Her time with Mr Robinson is cut short by Sadie Rodwell interrupting them, demanding her payment for work she had done for Chelsea at her perfume stand. Chelsea publicly berates Sadie, causing Andrew and Wendy to jump to her defense and insisting that Sadie receives her money.

Andrew tells Cara what Chelsea has done, revealing that her visiting sister is broke and that she is short-changing Sadie. Anxious not to reignite the drama with the Rodwells, Cara lends Chelsea some money to help her pay off Sadie, on the understanding that she never tells Remi….

Elsewhere, Remi is playing detective. Suspicious of her sister-in-law’s intentions, she sees Chelsea speaking with Terese and later discovers a napkin where Chelsea has been practising signing “Mrs Chelsea Robinson”.

Remi confronts Chelsea and Cara, revealing her suspicions that Chelsea is in town to shamelessly gold-dig. Chelsea feels cornered by Remi’s claims and in an attempt to deflect attention, she “accidentally” tells Remi that Cara has loaned her money.

Remi is shocked to learn that Cara bailed Chelsea out without consulting her, elevating the tension between the wives.

Is Chelsea really gold-digging with Paul or are there other intentions? How will Remi react to more deception from Cara?
