Everybody needs good neighbours, even when you can’t get to the door to greet them. Ring have partnered with Neighbours to allow you to add 3 different messages to the Quick Reply feature of Ring doorbells.

So, it doesn’t matter if you are up in the attic hiding your blue box, busy trying to work out exactly what your family tree is, or out of the house on a quick trip to Tasmania, you can greet your friends, and neighbours, in true Erinsborough style.

The 3 messages are all voiced by Ryan Moloney has played Toadie Rebecchi on the show for over 28 years. You can choose from:

“G-day mate, they’re busy doing some good neighbourly deed because, crikey, we all know ‘everyone needs good neighbours’! Why don’t you leave them a message?”

“Shh, someone is at the door! They’ll be right there.”

“Hang on, they’ve got the TV on and it’s the cliffhanger moment. They’ll be right there.”

Ring is a subsidiary of Amazon and this is the first, but likely not the last, time we have seen cross promotion between the show and the parent company of Amazon Studios who commissioned the show. How long until we see a Prime delivery vehicle popping into the street or an Amazon locker being installed in the Lassiters complex?

If you own a Ring doorbell, Amazon have created an easy guide to show you how to get your very own “Ode From the Toad” as your Quick Reply.

In the UK, USA and Canada, Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video is the new home of Neighbours with new episodes dropping at 7am Monday – Thursday.
