Lucinda Cowden, loved by Neighbours fans as vivacious Melanie Pearson, will be embarking on a 3-date UK tour in January next year, meeting fans and being interviewed in an “In Conversation” style show.
Organised by Screenstar Events who recently hosted the Australian TV All Stars event which included appearances by Lucinda’s former castmates, Elaine Smith (Daphne Clarke) and Anne Charleston (Madge Bishop), the tour will take in appearances in London, Manchester and Glasgow.
Fans will have the chance to enjoy a stage interview with Lucinda, participate in a Q&A session and everyone attending will get to meet Lucinda and receive a souvenir digital photograph as part of the package.
The dates for the events are:
Saturday 13th January, 2024 – The Ambassadors Bloomsbury Hotel, London
Sunday 14th January, 2024 – The Crowne Plaza Hotel, Manchester
Saturday 20th January, 2024 – Radisson Blu Hotel, Glasgow
Tickets are priced at £55 per person, plus booking fee, and give access to the interview, Q&A and meet & Greet complete with a souvenir photo.
Melanie originally appeared in Neighbours from 1987-1991, appearing as a guest character, a date of Henry Ramsay’s who rubbed the rest of the residents of No.24 Ramsay Street up the wrong way. Melanie quickly became a part of the Erinsborough community eventually marrying Joe Mangel. Melanie returned to the show in 2021, again, initially in a guest capacity, but quickly became a fan favourite with the 2022 finale based around her wedding to Toadie Rebecchi.
In the new era of the show, we have only seen Melanie in one short flashback scene as her marriage to Toadie didn’t work out. On social media Lucinda has confirmed that Melanie will be returning to the street soon and all will be revealed on why she left Erinsborough.
Although Neighbours is her best-known role, fans may also remember Lucinda’s brief appearance in Prisoner Cell Block H towards the end of the show’s run. Following Neighbours Lucinda also came to the UK where she hosted Saturday morning TV program Parallel 9 and also made a guest appearance in the BBC daytime soap, Doctors.
