When BBC Radio Two was promoting their interview with Jason Donovan, they created some ‘listenbait’ that they had some news about the new theme tune!

People tuned in hoping to hear that Jason (and possibly Kylie) were going to sing the new theme tune when the new chapter starts. Alas, all hopes were dashed when Jason confirmed he was asked, but declined.

But less than 24 hours later, Neighbours have released the new theme tune, sang by Chris Sebastian.

The 10th iteration of the theme tune provides a fresh sound which is in line with the the music from recent trailers.

While not trying to steer too far away from previous versions, its provides a sense of modernisation for a new era of the show. The excitement has definitely gone up a notch.

While it may be providing mixed reviews within the fans, after a few listens I am sure you will be singing along before you know it.

What do you think?

Who is Chris Sebastian?
