Outback week seems like a million miles away now…

Heath was eaten by a crocodile, Tess was arrested and Toadie miraculously recovered from severe dehydration with the help of half a bottle of Fiji Water.. but what happened in the Outback definitely didn’t stay in the Outback.

Toadie returned to Erinsborough and imploded his marriage, telling Terese that it was all over. Terese is devastated, she is angry, but Paul seems to be circling like a vulture above a fresh corpse… Toadrage is off, is Praise waiting in the wings?

Mackenzie survived a gunshot wound, but then almost died when she returned to Erinsborough because of sepsis. The amazing medical team (Dr Remi) jumped into action and Mackenzie managed to survive once again, but not before proposing a wedding in Paris to Haz. Was this the medication talking or is there a wedding on the horizon? Do we need to buy a new hat?

Wendy and Andrew hit the rocks this weeks after Wendy admitted that she had a ‘moment’ with Quinn. Wendy thought that being honest was the best policy, but when she offered to give Andrew a bit of space, he accepted. So what will happen to the Rodwell marriage?

Young love won last week with JJ and Nell finally deciding that they wanted to be a couple. Of course, Toadie has banned the pair from spending time together alone and then there is the added issue of Dex also having feelings for Nell, so the course of this new, young love will not run smooth.

So, that is a brief summary of last week… but the unmissable drama never ends in Erinsborough so let’s take a look at some of the big stories coming up in next week’s episodes of Neighbours. As always, we have left out some of the juiciest stories, so make sure you watch every day to get the full story.

TERESE THROWS HERSELF INTO WORK

Struggling to deal with like without Toadie, Terese decides to throw herself into her work as a distraction, much to the annoyance of her team. She takes on tasks that were supposed to be covered by Susan and Karl and even takes some of Harold’s responsibilities as Resident Spokesperson.

When Paul is offered a large stock of floral arrangements for cheap, he buys them and gifts them to Eirini Rising. Whilst Paul claims this is a charitable donation, Susan is highly suspicious of Paul’s motives. (I mean, why wouldn’t you be suspicious?)

PAUL LEARNS TO LIVE WITH THE NEW NORMAL

Impressed with the way that Krista dealt with the attempted coup by Tess, Reece Sinclair signs over control of Sincast’s share in Lassiters over to her younger sister, effectively making Krista and Paul equal partners in the hotel.

When Paul tries to assert authority over Krista, telling her not to get involved in helping Haz to sell Harolds, she draws a line. They are now equal partners in the business and he doesn’t get to boss her around any more.

Later in the week, Krista offers Sadie a job at the day spa. Although she is untrained in beauty therapies, Krista agrees to Lassiters paying for the additional training she needs and she can work alongside her studies.

Paul is furious at Krista’s decision and a power-battle commences.

Krista turns to Terese for advice on how to handle confrontations with Paul and is surprised when she talks so fondly of her ex-husband and suspects that there is still a spark between Terese and Paul.

When Terese chews Paul out over the way he dealt with the situation, Krista is forced to admit that she must have been wrong. For Paul and Terese, confrontation was always their love language and after the argument the pair both seem to be happier. Maybe Krista’s instincts were right after all?

CARA FACES THE CONSEQUENCES OF DEX’S ACTIONS

Cara has a disciplinary hearing with the University board after Dex cheated on an assignment on her behalf. Before she heads into the meeting, she admits to Remi that it is all over, she is quitting the course.

Aaron and Remi club together to help rebuild Cara’s confidence, reminding her how she thrives when she is outside of her comfort zone. With a new sense of purpose, Cara heads into the hearing determined to not be defeated.

Cara is surprised to learn that there will not be any action taken against her. All she will have to do is resubmit her assignment under supervised exam conditions and then be re-graded.Cara is beyond relieved, but then surprised when the department head from the Uni starts asking about Dex.

She recognised that the work he submitted on Cara’s behalf was genius level and she feels that Dex needs to be enrolled in an accelerated learning program.

A SHOCK RETURN FOR THE VARGA-MURPHY FAMILY

While discussing the outcome of the disciplinary hearing with Cara, Remi is urgently called to the hospital. There has been a riot at the local prison and there are a number of the prisoners have serious injuries and are being shipped to Erinsborough Hospital.

When Remi arrives, she goes in to treat her first patient and is shocked to see it is Felix Rodwell, in a critical condition with stab wounds. She does an initial assessment but then asks for another doctor to take over his care, she can’t possibly be responsible for his treatment.

When the rest of the family find out that Felix is seriously injured, they talk through the situation with JJ and he eventually agrees to go and visit Felix, despite being told that his biological father never wanted to see him again.

JJ arrives at the hospital and catches a glimpse of Felix in the bed, deciding that he can’t go through with it. He doesn’t want to see Felix, even though this may be his final chance to speak with him.

WENDY AND ANDREW TRY TO RECONNECT

Wendy, who has moved out of the marital home, is troubled by her bad choices in relation to Quinn. Andrew, too realises that he didn’t necessarily do the right thing and may have overreacted over the whole situation and they should have talked through everything instead of letting her sleep away from home.

Wendy confesses that she wasn’t looking for someone else, she was looking for herself and she found herself at Uni. Someone who isn’t judged and just accepted for who she is.

Andrew struggles to get his head around Wendy’s motives but the pair commit to working through everything, but it will definitely be a bumpy road.

Sadie, guilty for her involvement in her parent’s marriage troubles, organises a surprise date for the pair. The reunion is quickly thrown into shock when they get news of Felix’s injuries and the fact that he is in the hospital fighting for his life.

Wendy asks Andrew if he wants to go and visit his brother, but Andrew is resolute – Felix being injured changes nothing – he doesn’t want his family to have anything to do with him ever again.

Wendy is troubled by Andrew’s hard-line stance and pays Felix a secret visit. Fresh off of the Quinn incident, will this new betrayal be the final straw for their marriage?

Is Wendy making a big mistake? Will Paul be able to work with Krista as an equal? Are Paul and Terese on track to becoming Praise again? What effect will Felix’s return have on the Rodwell and Varga-Murphy families?

All of this drama and much more will play out over the week with new episodes of Neighbours streaming on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video from 7am, Monday-Thursday.
