A further cast member was announced to be returning to Erinsborough this morning (April 27th). Taking to Instagram, the show announced that Lloyd WIll is reprising his role of Police Sergeant Andrew Rodwell in the new episodes.
“We’re very happy to announce that Lloyd WIll is also reprising his role as Sergeant Andrew Rodwell in the new season of #Neighbours. Who else was going to keep those Erinsborough residents in check?” the show commented on their post.
This announcement will come as no shock to eagle-eyed fans of the show, after Lloyd was seen in leaked photographs filming on Ramsay Street when the show resumed production last week.
Andrew was the first of the Rodwell family to appear on Neighbours, starting as a guest character in 2018. Until 2019 the role was played by David Lamb. Lloyd WIll took over as Sarge in 2020, with the rest of his family arriving in 2022, finally all moving into No. 26 Ramsay Street shortly before the show’s 2022 finale.
Of his family, earlier this week, Neighbours announced that Emerald Chan was returning to show in the role of daughter Sadie Rodwell. Fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation that Candice Leask will be returning as Wendy Rodwell. After all, a friendly “Yoohoo” each morning helps to make a better day.
The return of Andrew Rodwell is the eleventh regular cast member announced for the show, with a host of guests stars including April Rose Pengilly, Ian Smith and Mischa Barton among those who will appear in guest roles.
The new season of Neighbours is currently in production in Melbourne and will be streaming in the UK on FreeVee later this year.
