Shockwaves are set to ripple through Ramsay Street this week as problems escalate in the Rodwell marriage.

Ever since Wendy started at university, Andrew Rodwell has been supportive of Wendy, encouraging her to bond with fellow student, Quinn. Even when he discovered that Wendy was pretending to be younger than she actually is to try and fit it, he laughed it off.

But after discovering that Wendy had also lied that she was childless and single, worries started to creep in with Andrew wondering if Wendy regretting getting tied down so young.

Things for them have been smooth over the last couple of weeks, but when Quinn’s presence causes issues to come to a head this week.

Following accusations of racial bias towards Wendy after winning a mentorship at University, Wendy confided in Quinn about her struggles as an Australian of mixed heritage and some of the casual and not-so-casual racism she has encountered. The two bonded over their shared experiences and grew closer.

This week, Sadie becomes even more suspicious of Quinn’s intentions as he works with Wendy to prepare her for her mentorship placement, even making her a playlist to help her focus.

Sadie shares her concerns with Andrew, saying that she she suspected that Quinn was interested in Wendy when they got busted at the traffic light party and seeing the way that Quinn is around her mother now has just made her even more suspicious of what is going on with him.

Andrew initially brushes off Sadie’s concerns, but when he later observes some flirty banter between Quinn and Wendy and she even invites him to Cara’s birthday party, he thinks maybe Sadie may be right.

Andrew tries not to think about it too much, choosing to trust his wife, but when he is looking at some photograph’s from Wendy’s recent presentation day at Uni, he sees a picture of Quinn gazing at Wendy adoringly.

Realising that Wendy cannot be oblivious to Quinn’s affections, he confronts her, anxious to know what’s happening.

He is shocked when, rather than playing it down, Wendy admits that she and Quinn did have a ‘moment’, but it was fleeting and nothing for him to worry about. As Wendy tries to explain, Andrew struggles to take in what she is saying.

When Quinn later turns up at Cara’s party, it is only a matter of time before Andrew confronts him. Wendy tries to diffuse the situation and tells Andrew that maybe it is best if she takes some time and gives him some space.

Wendy is shocked when Andrew agrees to spending some time apart.

Is this the end of the road for the Rodwells? Can Andrew and Wendy work it out? Will Quinn see this as an opportunity to get close to Wendy?

This drama all plays out on Wednesday 28th and Thursday 29th August with episodes streaming from 7am on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video.
