After almost 39 years of unmissable drama, we reach a point that, back in 2022, we thought we would never see. Episode number 9000! We also see the 100th episode of this new era of Neighbours on Thursday March 7th. With Erinsborough in the middle of traumatic times following the death of David Tanaka, it will interesting to see how they mark these moments on-air.
From the teasers we can share today, it looks like we will be delving in to the rich history of the show as Chelsea Murphy is taken on a “Paul Robinson Greatest Hits” tour of Erinsborough for Episode 9000. As the only remaining character who appeared in Episode 1 back in 1985, there is a lot of history to cover. Where will she start? The house where he was shot by his first wife? The balcony he was pushed off by his fifth wife? The place he set a fire to burn down Lassiters? The spots he has had multiple clandestine meetings with John Wong? It is likely to be a long tour.
Aside from the 9000th episode, we have lots happening across Erinsborough as people still struggle to come to terms with David’s death and the circumstances around it, we hear from Mike Young and it appears that the love quadrangle between Toadie/Melanie/Terese/Paul is going to become even more complex…
At No.26 Ramsay Street, the Rodwell family expands with the arrival of Andrew’s brother, Felix, played by James Beaufort.

The residents of Erinsborough come together for the Longest Lie-In, but it’s not long before tensions begin to simmer.

The reveal at the Lie-in leads to major consequences for those involved. The Lie-In ends with surprising winners… And losers. Aaron receives a call that shakes him to the core.
Episode 9006 – Airing Wednesday, 13th March
Toadie struggles with his new reality. Felix is drawn to JJ, despite his best efforts. Hugo finds himself in grave danger.
Episode 9007 – Airing Thursday, 14th March
Toadie tries to keep a level head in the face of a terrifying situation. JJ draws on Felix’s advice. Felix makes a fateful decision.
