TERESE STRUGGLES TO KEEP HER CALM FOLLOWING THE STINK BOMB ATTACK

As the clean up following the stink bomb attack in the courtyard at Eirini Rising begins, Terese barges across to the school and confronts teacher, Curtis Perkins, who is quickly out of his depth as Terese demands answers. Susan steps in to calmly intervene in Terese’s rage-session and talks her down from a ledge. Terese’s anger resurfaces later when Curtis fails to come back to her with answers.

Eventually it is discovered that the key used to gain access to the complex belonged to Jane and Terese’s anger returns. Susan has to step in one more time to talk Terese down. An emotional Terese thanks Susan for balancing her out and is happy that they seem to have found their working rhythm.

A NEW LOVE TRIANGLE EMERGES

After losing his job at the the vineyard, JJ decides to brush himself off and search for new work, offering his services to Terese at Eirini Rising. Toadie is shocked when Terese actually considers employing him, but reminds him of her own teenage rebellious streak and feels that JJ should be given a chance.

When Nell goes in to bat for JJ, Terese calls out her true motivation, knowing about the teenage crush. But when Nell promises to behave herself, Terese gives in and JJ is appointed as Eirini Rising’s newest Residents’ Assistant.

Trying to work around their ban from spending time alone, Nell goes to the hospital hoping that JJ is there visiting Dex. When she finds that he isn’t there, Nell sticks around and spends time with Dex drawing more of the “Dex-truction” characters. Dex is delighted that his crush is hanging out with him, completely unaware that Nell was there to seek out HER crush, who just happens to be Dex’s older brother.

JJ accidentally throws out the drawings that Nell made of “Dex-truction” and Dex is distraught. Initially confused by the reaction, the penny finally drops and JJ realises his little brother has a crush on Nell. Dex admits that he thinks that Nell may feel the same, because she kept visiting him in hospital and JJ doesn’t have the heart to tell him the real reason why she was always there…

When Dex returns home, Nell and JJ’s chance to spend time together has gone. Nell asks Terese’s advice on how to move out of the friend-zone. Slightly shocked, Terese just tells her to be honest about her feelings. Meanwhile JJ is also seeking advice from Andrew, who suggests that JJ asks Nell out on a casual date to find out how she feels.

On their date, Nell bites the bullet and admits how she feels, but JJ backtracks. He tells her he only sees them as best mates and doesn’t want to ruin it by making it more than it is.

CONFUSING FEELINGS FOR JANE AS VIC EXPERIENCES A HEALTH SCARE

Vic, Nicolette and Byron head up to the Dandenongs for a lovely day out, but his children are concerned that Vic is pushing himself too hard.

Jane feels guilty about not joining her family and makes the snap decision to leave work and drive up to the trails. Unsure where they have gone, Jane heads out hoping to find the group.

Vic quickly gets out of breath and his children escort him back to the car, but when Vic sees Jane’s car in the car park, he realises she decided to follow them and brightens up.

Concerned at Jane being alone on the trails, Byron and Nic head out in search of their mother, leaving firm instructions for Vic to stay at the car. Once they are out of sight, Vic sets out himself to search for Jane, but it doesn’t take long until he is struggling. Ready to turn back, he finds Jane’s sun hat caught in the brush at the side of the trail and begins to worry about her safety. He pushes himself onwards but it all gets a little too much for him….

Byron and Nicolette track down Jane and on their way back to the car, discover Vic collapsed on one of the trails, he is conscious, but unwell. They rush him to the hospital and are relieved to find out that he will be alright.

Jane admits to Terese that she felt a pull to care for Vic as he lay unwell. Back at the house, Vic is resting up in Jane’s room. When Sam discovers this, she becomes upsets and encourages Jane to speak with Mike.

While Jane later enjoys a family lunch with Byron, Nicolette and Vic, she is completely oblivious that her phone is buzzing away, Mike is trying to call her.

LEO FACES FINANCIAL RUIN AS ANOTHER POISONING EMERGES

With the continued loss of business at the vineyard, Leo, who has admitted how stretched he is financially, is close to breaking point and decides he needs to sell No.32 Ramsay Street to release the equity to pay bills. He gets a valuation and is disappointed to find out the house is not worth a smuch as he wanted, but the money he will make should cover his immediate financial distress.

Mackenzie and Haz suggest that Krista buys the house from Leo (after-all, she is a Sinclair!). Krista can’t believe that she didn’t think of the idea but Leo refuses teh handout, leaving Krista frustrated by his stubbornness.

Andrew informs Leo that there has been a second poisoning, but given that the second victim didn’t drink any wine, it is unlikely that Leo was the target of the attack. Despite this, business doesn’t look like improving and there is a string of wine tour cancellations, further deflating him.

Desperate to identify the poisoner, Holly decides she is going to start an investigation herself to uncover whodunnit and uses her position at Lassiters to try and bribe Liv, the podcast host. Krista gives Holly a warning for misusing her position. She later sees Holly trying to get intel from drug-dealer Shannon and warns her to stop trying to get involved and to concentrate on her job instead.

HAZ RETURNS TO HAROLD’S

Feeling better, Haz returns to managing Harold’s and is thankful to Mackenzie for helping to keep the business afloat while he was out of action. The pair both acknowledge that since reuniting, their relationship hasn’t been relaxed and almost feels a little formal. Haz suggests a trip to Margaret River to visit his family and invites Mack along. She excitedly accepts and suggests a house party to celebrate the positive upswing at the share house, but the celebrations are short-lived when the group find out that Leo is putting their home up for sale.

DOCTOR GAVIN BECOMES INVOLVED IN DEX’S RECOVERY

Remi notices Gavin Bowman looking at Dex’s file, despite him no longer being his physician. Remi reports the incident to Stevie Hart who reprimands Gavin.

He later confronts Remi, trying explain that his comments about her and Cara were merely ‘locker room banter’. Once again, Remi let’s Stevie know about Gavin’s comments and whilst she is sympathetic to Remi, she also reveals that Gavin has a theory about Dex’s poisoning that might be worth hearing out.

Should Remi and Cara accept Gavin’s assistance for Dex’s sake?

Remi swallows her pride and partners with Gavin to try and crack the poisoning cases. When Gavin discovers the type of poison that was used, the Varga-Murphy’s are delighted as it means Dex can receive the proper treatment.

With a sense of relief, Remi tells Gavin that he has proven himself to be an excellent doctor and cannot thank him enough.

So, is Gavin the creep everyone suspected, or was he just misunderstood? Is Vic really trying to move in on Jane and, if so, what will Mike do about it? Is there a happy ending in the Varga-Murphy/Rebecchi love triangle? Can Holly uncover the identity of the poisoner? Who will buy 32 Ramsay Street?
