In last Thursday’s episode, Nicolette saw that Chloe was caught up in a web of lies and demanded to know what was going on.

After initially denying that it was her that Nic had seen at the hospital, she admitted it was her and the reason she was there was to visit her old specialist as she has begun to develop symptoms of Huntington’s disease, the condition that killed her mother Fay in 2021.

Chloe has realised that as she has started displaying the symptoms of the disease, she has a limited time left and all of the things she cherishes in the world, her job, her family, her relationship with Elly, she has taking for granted. She will lose them all.

Chloe reveals that she hasn’t confided in Elly. She doesn’t want to burden her and her daughter Aster with the inevitability of what is to come. Nicolette tells Chloe that she has to tell Elly what is going on, she will need Elly to help her through this. Chloe knows that Nic is right, but can’t bear to have the conversation with her partner.

Alone with her thoughts, Chloe eventually picks up the courage to call Elly, but rather than breaking the news over the phone, invites Elly and Aster down to Erinsborough for a few days to spend some time together. Elly totally unaware that when she arrives, she will find out news that will change their life together forever.

When Elly arrives, will Chloe be able to admit what is going on, if so, how will Elly handle the news? The story continues through the rest of this week with new episodes dropping at 7am Monday-Thursday on Amazon Freevee and Amazon Prime Video.

There is information on Huntington’s disease on the NHS website. More information and support can also be found on the website for the UK Huntington’s Disease Association.
