Since Chloe and Nicolette arrived back on Ramsay Street, the former lovers have been on friendly terms, but there seems to be something that Chloe is holding back, being very evasive when asked about her life in Sydney and her relationship with Elly.
Whilst at the hospital visit Melanie, Nicolette spots Chloe walking through the hallway. Nic runs out to call her friend, but is ignored. Chloe walks into a consulting room, greeted by a doctor, with the door closing behind her. Why on earth is Chloe at Erinsborough Hospital?
Later in the day, Nicolette goes to see Chloe at the hospital, when Nic checks if Chloe is OK after seeing her at the hospital, she denies it was her. Nicolette is not convinced butu agrees to meet up for a coffee later in the day.
Later in the day, Nicolette bumps into Karl and Susan at the Coffee Shop. When discussing the school protests, it comes up in conversation that Elly is not working at the moment. This is the opposite of what Chloe had previously told Nic, saying that Elly was snowed-under with work in Sydney to join her for the trip to Melbourne. Nicolette realises that Chloe is spinning a web of lies. About what? And why?
Catching up with Chloe at The Waterhole, Nicolette continues to be frustrated when Chloe is vague about her plans for Christmas and Nic eventually calls her out for her lies. Never one to be shy about asking questions that need to be asked, she demands the truth from Chloe.
“You’ve been lying your head off since you got back to Erinsborough.”
She calls her out for the lie about Elly and also about denying being at the hospital. Chloe looks agitated when she realises that Nicolette has her backed into a corner and she asks Nicolette to stop the questioning.
“No, there’s obviously something going on with you. Tell me what it is, let me help.”
