It has been a rollercoaster time for our friendly neighbours, It seemed like Haz was going off the rails, until we found out EXACTLY what he had been involved in. But his week definitely ended in an impactful way.

Equally, Chelsea’s week was a little unpredictable. Fearing she has finally been exposed by Krista, there was relief when an accident causes a bit of amnesia (And there was no spilled milk involved). Will Krista’s amnesia continue or will her amnesia cause her to become a chemical terrorist and try to kill the entire school before going on a killing spree on a holiday island? (That sentence will make no sense if you weren’t watching Neighbours in 2020). I think we can safely say that it is unlikely that Krista will be putting bombs in a hat box, but losing her baby, coming off of an addiction relapse and freshly breaking up with Leo, you can’t help but feel sorry for the billionaire heiress.

Those two stories definitely lead the way in next week’s episodes, but with new starts for Susan and Terese, a new direction for Melanie and revelations for JJ Varga-Murphy, there’s plenty to keep you glued to your screens.

As always, we have left the juiciest bits of the story out of these spoilers, so you will have to watch the episodes to see EXACTLY what happens, but let’s see some of what is in-store for us in next week’s Neighbours.

HAZ FIGHTS FOR HIS LIFE

At the end of last week it was revealed that Haz’s strange behaviour was, in part, due to him being involved of a police sting operation to get evidence on Wade for the deep fake attacks on the Ramsay Street residents. When Wade suspected something was not quite right, he fled, with Haz in hot pursuit, leading Haz to run right in front of Mackenzies car, knocking him to the ground.

This week we see him hospitalised in a very serious state, the impact of the incident caused a heart attack and Haz is now in a coma that he may or may not come out of.

Mackenzie is heartbroken.. sitting at the side of Haz’s bed brings back memories of losing Hendrix. She knows she cannot lose another man like this, her friends rally around her in her time of need.

When the doctors say that tests on Haz are more positive than the original prognosis, it gives Mack cause for a small amount of joy and declares to Haz that she will help him get through this. Holly steps up and plans to track Haz’s estranged family down to let them know what has happened.

Byron and Sadie try and think of what they can do to try and help Haz come out of his coma. Although they visit him, along with Mack and Holly, Haz needs his best friend, Trevor. The pair think up a plan to sneak the dog into the hospital to spend some time with Haz and go to a lot of effort to reunite the pair. When Remi busts them in the room with Trevor at Haz’s side, they find their efforts were a waste of time, if only they had asked, Trevor would have been allowed in the hospital to visit!

It is a bittersweet moment though, despite everyone’s best hopes, Trevor’s presence doesn’t change Haz’s situation and he lays there unresponsive.

JJ LEARNS THE TRUTH

An anxious JJ waits for the outcome of his diversion hearing, will he escape a tough penalty for his involvement in the robbery and Andrew’s injury?

Cara and Remi find out that JJ has been granted diversion and will avoid any major consequences, however, their relief is short lived when they find another “Return to Sender” letter from Felix in the mail. The mums discuss how glad they are that Felix is sticking to their agreement in not making contact with JJ, not realising that the conversation is being overheard by Dex.

Later, when JJ confides in Dex how sad he is that Felix won’t have anything to do with him, Dex can’t hold the secret in and reveals that Felix’s distance is the work of Cara and Remi. JJ confronts his parents declaring that he will never forgive them for what they have done.

Dex feels stuck in the middle, sympathising with both his mums and JJ, but Dex tells Cara and Remi that Felix will always be a part of JJs life, whether they like it or not, and they need to accept that.

SUSAN BEGINS A NEW CHAPTER

Susan is excited and nervous as she prepares to start her new job with Terese at Eirini Rising. The day starts well and the friends look forward to the idea of spending so much time together. Susan soon realises that Terese’s ideas for the role are quite different to what she expected… when Terese begins micro-managing, Susan is put out to say the least.

At the end of the day, Terese tells Toadie how successful this new working relationship was, blissfully unaware that Susan hs grave doubts about their future.

MELANIE SAYS FAREWELL

Tensions are heightened for Melanie as both Terese and Toadie arrive back in Erinsborough within a few days of each other and she is forced to face up to her new reality. After some awkward interactions, Terese encourages Toadie to speak with Melanie and make peace, they are going to all have to live together and they can’t do that with this dark cloud above them.

Toadie’s apology clears the air and gives Mel a new sense of direction. When she completes her final day of community service she decides it is time to leave Ramsay Street – temporarily – she is going to take the Drinks Diva van on a tour of music festivals across the country for five weeks. In true Neighbours style, it takes just a few hours to get Mel’s plans in place and she drives off into the sunset.

KRISTA BEGINS HER RECOVERY

Making a faster-than-expected recovery after the ‘incident’ in Chelsea’s hotel room, Krista is released from hospital (again). She makes a pact with Aaron to never go down the dark road they travelled together but Krista’s resolve is quickly tested after she bumps into her dealer, Shannon. Leo steps in and sends Shannon packing, much to Krista’s relief. She begins to open up to Leo but he keeps his distance, can the two reconnect?

He admits he still loves Krista but is hurt in the way that she treated him and he admits he doesn’t see how they can have a future together.

Later, during an innocent conversation with Paul and Chelsea, some familiar words trigger a memory for Krista…

THE RISE AND FALL OF CHELSEA MURPHY

WIth Krista’s memory of what Chelsea did seemingly lost, Chelsea’s week gets off to a good start. It gets even better when she meets with Paul. He has seen Terese and Toadie together and realises that he needs to step away from Terese. He tells Chelsea that she should propose to him again, which she does. This time, Paul says yes! Hello Mrs. Chelsea Robinson!

Chelsea wastes no time and immediately starts planning their engagement party, much to the suspicion of those around her. In the midst of party planning, IT guru Jeffrey reaches out, desperate to spend more time with Chelsea. She is determined not to let her web of lies get in the way of the happiness she feels she is entitled to.

All is going well until Jeffery shows up at the party, shocked to see the love of his life getting engaged to Paul Robinson. Will Chelsea be able to squirm her way out of this situation?

Later, Paul, Cara and Krista discover that Chelsea has completely vanished. She has deleted all of her social media, disconnected her phone and emptied her bank account. Cara has contacted Chelsea’s children and they have no idea where their mother is.. is Chelsea gone for good?
